No, it's really not. Upgrading to a player who is objectively better than Milano would be a huge deal. Milano is solid with some impressive flashes here and there, but he's nowhere I would consider to be elite. I know it's early in the season and we probably don't need to do it yet, but down the stretch if we haven't added one or two top tier pieces to this team, then I genuinely don't believe we're going to win it all. When you're as close as we are and as close as we have been, you should be willing to do anything and everything to get over the hump. I pray we see this from Beane eventually this season. 1 3 Quote

I feel like the depth is very solid in a lot of position groups this year tbh…as long as we can avoid an aj klein disaster scenario I think we’ve got a good chance the rams were asking Hoecht to do wayyy too much in coverage but he could probably cover some in McDs defense in a pinch Edited September 15 by Generic_Bills_Fan 2 Quote

Lost three seasons in a row now to a major injury and leaves them even weaker on D. Hopefully they can make a move It comes with the position. LBs get hurt a lot. They're basically in a laundry machine with boulders when those big Guards can come hit them with a head of steam. Zach Thomas, for example, was always injured. You'd think he'd be a bit luckier, but I'm never surprised when I hear about an injured LB. 1 1 Quote
Ethan in Cleveland Posted September 15 Posted September 15 This sucks. He was elite and injuroes have destroyed his career. I think Beane may have learned the lesson. The 2025 defensive players are actually NFL sized. 2026 draft will be defense heavy again. After WR which Beane will fail to address, Edge, S, and LB will all be top priorities. 1 Quote
JMM Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Well, this is our last year with Matt. Simply cannot stay healthy and definitely has lost a step. Hopefully Williams will be a long term starter. Quote

BuffaloBillyG Posted September 15 Posted September 15 But didn't "Thigh Doctor" say it was a clear cut textbook hammy? Why anyone buys into that goon is beyond me. 1 1 Quote
ALLinALLEN Posted September 15 Posted September 15 There are quite a few interesting names on the FA list, but I doubt we dip into that so early. Quote
Bruffalo Posted September 15 Posted September 15 That's just bad luck at this point. Dorian Williams is fine in run support but I feel like he gets abused when he needs to cover anyone. He's athletic enough though, so he's got the tools. I hope trends upwards. Quote
PetermansRedemption Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Waste of cap space when he can’t stay on the field. Time to cut him in the off-season. Quote
Kirby Jackson Posted September 15 Posted September 15 One of my hot takes before the season was that Dorian Williams MAY be the best LB on this team. Milano was off to a good start and I think Bernard is overrated. Williams physical tools make him potentially dynamic IMO. We will see I guess… 1 1 Quote

That's not exactly instilling confidence for me lol Quote

947 Posted September 15 Posted September 15 We do still have Shaq Thompson. He was out Week 2 with a hand injury, but will have to suit up this week. He's strangely the same age as Milano, I thought he was much older. Quote
BullBuchanan Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Bobby Okereke? Pete Werner/Damario Davis? 1 Quote
