He's just too slight to take the pounding.  Watching the play he got injured his legs look like Tre's, just sticks with little tiny ankles.  Obviously has skills but was never going to last with that build

He wants to play like Ben Roethlisberger but he simply doesn't have the frame for it.   He needs a stout OL and a good running game to prevent the defense from teeing off on him like Cleveland did in Week 1 -- and he needs to change his style so that he gets rid of the ball quicker.

Agree to disagree. IMO he's surrounded by talent that elevates him. And no, I don't have him in my Top 5.

You can’t have it both ways. He has one elite and one very good receiver, but also a terrible o-line and a dime-a-dozen RB corps now that Mixon is gone. Literally no one who works in actual personnel evaluation in the NFL would agree with you, so think about that.

  • Simon changed the title to Burrow's Turf Toe and torn ligaments; now being reported out three MONTHS

Dr. Chao was on Sirius yesterday, and thinks 3 months is optimistic for this type of injury.  3 months puts him to week 15, and that's assuming no complications in his recovery, and Burrow has already had a few major injuries since he's come into the league.

So he's probably done for the year - Would need for Bengals to be in playoff contention (which would mean Browning is playing well) + smooth recovery + lack of confidence in Browning vs. Burrow.  All of the above seems unlikely (and some of it is contradictory).

Schefter last night on MNF football said 3 months, but then gave a handful of qualifiers.

Might as well give the AFCN to the Ravens right now. They were probably going to win it anyway even if Burrow stayed healthy. But with him out long-term the Bengals won't be able to get past the Ravens. The Steelers and Browns are not good enough to challenge for the division.

Looking at their schedule, they could lose their next 5 games, then right before Burrow returns they have Ravens/Bills/Ravens.

I'm thinking they end the year at 8-9

I disagree on the Steelers. Heck the Ravens might be a tad over rated right now as if look closer at their box score a few of their scoring drives were helped due to short fields. As think like two of Lamar's TD passes came on drives that had to get less than 30 yards. Toss in we showed they can be exposed against the pass and Rodgers can still sling it.

I don't know if Rodgers can stay healthy all year behind that OL. The Seahawks were in his face all day this past Sunday.

Heard from Mike Brown's office:

"Thank goodness!  Post season travel can be expensive, not to mention per diems for players and staff!"

Yeah he said minimum of 3 months the last time I heard

Minimum....  and on the telecast he couched it with 'if rehab goes perfectly' and 'if the Bengals are still in it'.  He may be done for the year.

The Steelers only gained 271 and 267 yards total in their first two games.  Again, that's total.  I don't think their O will be much of a challenge for the Ravens.

Burrow is GLASS! How can anyone argue that he isn’t injury prone? He hasn’t even finished half of his 6 seasons. The guy can’t stay on the field. I think he had one season where he didn’t have some sort of injury
