I am getting away ahead of myself but for sh***s and grins, let us say we are 15-0 entering the Eagles game and have locked up the #1 seed. Do we keep playing hard and the entire A team in a quest to go undefeated or do we rest the starters and those prone to injury?

I would vote for resting the starters and not strive for an undefeated season cos only one thing ultimately matters at the end of the season.

Not just that, but don't run anything but your basic plays, give them nothing on film.

You’re beating the Saints whether those guys are playing or not.

Just to put it in perspective, the Saints are currently +870 to win the game. The Bills are +800 at -32.5. So the sportsbooks think it is more likely that we win by 5 scores than it is that the Saints win the game at all.

i remember going over the game logs of our team when we had chan gailey as HC.  at one point, maybe mid season or something, we had lost more games by 4 scores than we had won, by any score.  i think we (i know i do) sometimes over focus on our own team and what we do not great and miss the fact that some of these franchises are absolute diarrhea.  if we lose this i will cry.

The Chan era was my darkest era of the drought. I really thought the team would just never be good…

Honestly I think the Rex era was worse. Cos the team was talented under Rex. And we STILL sucked. The Chan team the talent sucked.

The Rex era to me wasn’t hopeless because the ownership was new and willing to spend money. I thought they may have gotten the coach wrong but eventually they will be decent.

In the Rex era I was like they will rebuild properly and spend the money on the right players and the right fit when the right coach gets there.

But in the Chan era in Ralph’s cheap ownership ways it just felt like the Bills were never going to be good

Nah, if the team is relatively healthy, you go for a win.   There’s no reason to not ruin even more Dolphins’ season.

Rex needed better QB play and a few more bounces to go his way.

When they hired him, there was the sobering realization that "Wow, this is obviously considered the worst job in pro football, and no one with any other options would ever take it."

Don’t think we lose but that’s too good a bet to miss out throwing $100 on.

As they say… On Any Given Sunday…

Remember cashing in on the Bills beating the Vikings when they were a 17 point dog.

I agree, there's a Superbowl winner every year.  So, yeah, it's nice but not really special.  Now, undefeated seasons, that's a rarity.

Doubt McDermott feels the same way though - he doesn't have a Superbowl ring and that is what affects his life the most.

I'm enjoying all this talk of going undefeated.

It will be amusing coming to TBD the day after the Bills get their first loss on the season to find out that the team is a pretender who can't beat good teams, McDermott chokes, Beane is a bum, Babich is a baboon, the D-line sucks, our secondary is worthless, our WR's couldn't make the University of Beijing Polytechnic On-Line football team and the entire season is over.

QB play yes but the bounces not going his way were kind of on him. The team in 2015 was tied for first in the NFL in penalties. That’s a big red flag for poor coaching. In 2016 they were 10th for most penalties.

Theres some luck variance with penalties but if you are in the top 10 in back to back years thats you causing your own bad luck.

This board wants to fire everyone when the team is done 7 points in the first quarter. If/when they lose a game it’s gonna be a complete cesspool here.
