Delete_Delete_Delete Posted September 13 Posted September 13 Not like Breece Hall and Fields weren’t going to run for 200+ anyway… Sorry, I know, apparently he’s coming off his “best game as a pro” in a game where the defense gave up 40. I get that “they wouldn’t have won without him forcing that fumble”, but they also likely aren’t even in that position as a team if they were able to hold Henry under 15 ypc in the first place… Quote

Dr Krentist Posted September 21 Posted September 21 If Ed is good to go for the Saints game, I would still let him rest and let the rookies get their reps. We SHOULD be able to win that one without him. 3 Quote

But if we're sitting him again, do we use up our 3rd and final call up (before the Playoff exemption) of Zion Logue or do we save that and give Phillips a call up this week? Chandler#81 Posted September 21 Posted September 21 Enjoy the mini-bye week Ed & Matt. Then gitcherazz back on the field! 2 Quote

Id probably use the final call up. Logue has played well IMO when elevated. With Ogun returning and Ed on the mend, you’d hope you’ve made it through the toughest stretch with DT numbers. Who knows how game ready Phillips is in terms of conditioning. It’d be interesting to watch as using his 3rd call up essentially renders him useless until January. Quote

Yeah and if they were to add him to the active roster and later release him he would have to clear waivers. Quote

PoundingDog Posted September 21 Posted September 21 There are reports that Ed still walks with a slight limp - without the boot. I'd not dress him this Sunday. 1 Quote

Let Cook and Oliver sit for Cleveland. Shakir and Bosa for Miami. Maybe sit Josh for the patriots game in week 15...you can even just let them sit out the first half and bring them in if things get dicey. 1 Quote
Big Turk Posted September 21 Posted September 21 (edited) Let him rest...definitely not needed against the Saints...Bills should win by 2-3 TDs. Opening line is Bills -14.5 Edited September 21 by Big Turk 1 Quote
BigAl2526 Posted September 21 Posted September 21 I agree with the consensus. Let Oliver rest. I think the idea of calling up Jordan Phillips instead of Zion Logue is good, unless the Bills have been calling up Logue in order to save their callups of Phillips for later in the season. I think Logue's strength might be run defense where Phillip's is rushing the passer. Quote
