The 4th quarter of this game resembled so much of like the 13-second playoff game. Josh was in a ZONE. Go Bills !!! 3 Quote

transplantbillsfan Posted September 8 Posted September 8 He's unbelievable and honestly I thought even before the 4th quarter he was playing better than Lamar but was hamstrung by playcalling. 6 Quote
Generic_Bills_Fan Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Ravens were flying all over the field on defense and definitely gassed out down the stretch…that probably should’ve been a more classic shootout than a crazy late comeback haha 37 minutes ago, ganesh said: It is really sad that both the announcers at the beginning of the game were trying hard to justify why Jackson should have been the MVP. It looked like the analysts post game were at a funeral haha they had all the ‘Lamar is the real mvp’ takes ready to go by halftime and Josh spoiled that storyline. I legit thought Rodney Harrison was gonna cry 3 2 1 Quote
Sojourner Posted September 8 Posted September 8 251 passing yards in the 4th quarter is nutty. 2 hours ago, ganesh said: It is really sad that both the announcers at the beginning of the game were trying hard to justify why Jackson should have been the MVP. They were? I’ll have to give the game a watch and listen to that. You can understand though given Lamar’s stats for last season and, unless I’m mistaken, the same people vote for the All-Pro as well as the end of season awards. Don’t think I’ve seen a unanimous first team AP not get MVP if they’re a QB before. Ravens have a top to bottom better roster than Buffalo. Shows how great Josh is. You give him that team and I don’t think Baltimore are sniffing a 40 point game. That to me is the true test of an MVP. Remove said player and what is the team doing? For the QB position they’re all absolutely essential to their teams success but I’d argue for right now in the league, Josh and Joe Burrow add more wins to their programs. Thankfully the former is on the good guys side… 1 Quote

Thankfully the former is on the good guys side… I think this is it. Remove Lamar and put a decent to good QB behind center for the Ravens - a Jared Goff or Baker Mayfield - and they'd probably still have a winning season with their defence accompanied by the likes of Henry, Hopkins, Flowers, Likely (when available). Would the Bills in that scenario? I have my doubts. That's not saying Lamar isn't class - he clearly is. But his support, like Joe Burrow's, is at another level. 1 2 Quote
Royale with Cheese Posted September 8 Posted September 8 This wasn't against a team and a defense like the Saints too. This was against the Super Bowl favorites. 2 Quote

I thought he was playing it safe earlier in the game. Protecting the ball, taking the check downs for the most part. By that point in the 4th he couldn't do that anymore and cut it loose. 2 Quote
Danger Mouse Posted September 8 Posted September 8 I've never known a team or competitor in ANY sport with quite as much personality as this current Bills outfit. Now, that may be a problem. Aside from McEnroe and Ali - it's not usually the big personalities that win things. It's usually the dull, mechanical sorts. Those who do the basics right. Those who wear you down and even bore you into making mistakes. The machines. But even though the Lombardi is really the be-all and end-all of the game - what a ride we're on. Our games are FULL of events. Every week is a thrill. It's like even we lose (13 seconds) it's the most dramatic thing imaginable. We are Hollywood. No doubt about that. 4 Quote

In fairness Collinsworth post game trolled the Ravens hard saying we saw what the MVP can do tonight referring to Josh lol Quote
Jerome007 Posted September 8 Posted September 8 This is just week 1, but wow. Hard to not celebrate this one a while even if the Jets are next. This was crazy special. In so many good, bad and weird ways. 1 Quote
