I think the taunting I saw was going on starting in the early 3rd quarter, well before that. you might be right though that it was going both ways. but still— it was a lot of cocky fan engagement from the ravens, when the game was far from over. I texted some friends during the game about how there was so much time left and the ravens are going to look like major choke artists with all this early celebration. Didn’t think it would actually happen! I think Harbaugh is a great coach. But even his head seemed to be more in the celebrating and revenge stuff, instead of closing out the game. The Harbaugh brothers are phenomenal coaches, but also a bit unhinged. I think that part gets in their way sometimes. 1 Quote

All night long. I don’t think I have seen them do that to other teams before. It was like personal against our fans for some reason? Going back to Ray “Double Murder” Lewis, this is a franchise that prioritizes talent above all else, even as recent as drafting Mike Green. God only knows how long they were covering up for Justin Tucher... Sometimes it works out, but it leaves you with a roster full of… guys hard to root for. I guess it’s all fitting for a franchise with the shadiest origin story in the league. 2 Quote

Don’t get near the fans if you are on the opposing team. He should be gone for 4 games for this, just a shockingly dirty thing for an NFL player to do. Crazy reaction from you IMO. Josh sometimes makes a point of jogging around the stadium close to the wall after a game. He does it to interact with our fans who come to away games, but there's no rule that says opposing fans won't be there too. Don't you think that ought to be able to happen without fans slapping or hitting at him and any teammate near him? Sure, Jackson shouldn't have reacted, and I'm betting he'll be fined and issue some kind of apology statement, but you think he should be suspended as many games for a push that injured no one, as Rashee Rice who was involved in high-speed reckless driving which injured people and could have been worse? Nuts! 2 Quote

One day you might need some mercy too. Perhaps you’ll remember your staunch position about the firm application of justice! Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. I mean, it’s pretty simple. Don’t reach out and touch the opposing players when they’re celebrating. 1 Quote

JoshAllin Posted September 9 Posted September 9 (edited) Jacksons excuse in the presser was he seen the fan slap Dhops helmet which is why he retaliated. Fans slap their own teams helmet all the time when they score and celebrate by the crowd. If you're the opposing team and you celebrate near the fans, its fair game to get your helmet slapped. Hope they slap Jackson with something hefty for that comment Edited September 9 by JoshAllin 1 1 1 Quote
Dan Posted September 9 Posted September 9 Verbal back and forth is one thing. But trying to hit players is another thing. Granted there’s a line between that and celebrating after a TD. Hopefully the league just tells players.. don’t go near fans in the sideline, celebrating in the endzone is ok. ALSO… people need to stop throwing stuff on the field. Ok one time a ***** was funny. But that’s over. Just don’t do it. It’s not a good look. 1 Quote
May Day 10 Posted September 9 Posted September 9 (edited) This is really over the top "We want our guys to celebrate with one another. That's the whole idea. I guess I didn't know you're not allowed to go close to the stands to do that without being attacked by a fan," Head Coach John Harbaugh said Monday. "I don't know how any of us would respond in that moment. I think it'd be something, we'd probably be thinking about protecting ourselves." Another fan also threw a drink at Henry as he went into the end zone on his 46-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. "You score a touchdown, you probably shouldn't have a frozen water bottle thrown at you either," Harbaugh said. Wow, what a vicious "attack" from that fan. Players probably need therapy after that. Also, I didnt know the 58 degree weather was cold enough to freeze water bottles. I have always liked Harbough but never realized that he is such a baby. The fan was stupid, and a little heavy handed with his helmet slaps, sure. He is getting made into an example. Fine. It was not an assault and nobody was in danger (until Jackson went a bit over the top there, actually). Edited September 9 by May Day 10 1 2 Quote
Your Brown Eye Posted September 9 Posted September 9 Lord knows anyone in this thread defending this idiot would be shouting from the mountain top and defending Josh Allen if Josh did this to an opposing fan who was hitting Bills player(s) like that after a touchdown. You'd be calling for the fan's head like the French peasants calling for Marie Antoinette's. Quote
Gregg Posted September 9 Posted September 9 On somewhat related note a nasty fight between women happened at the Texans-Rams game. Some fans are just idiots and all fanbases have them. https://nypost.com/2025/09/08/sports/female-fan-bloodied-in-disturbing-fight-at-texans-rams-game/ 1 Quote

Nuts! I’m not defending the fan here, he’s a moron who got a pretty stiff punishment. But the players need to be held to a _way_ higher standard, they represent the league. If the NFL suspends players over allegations of violence (like Von last year), they absolutely need to suspend over hitting fans on national TV. i remember being at a Sabres game long ago where John Muckler got in a shoving match with a fan (of his own team!) He was suspended by the NHL for several games over it. The NFL can’t let this one slide by…. Quote

zow2 Posted September 11 Posted September 11 Heard some national radio guys being very critical of Bills fans. Saying they were throwing bottles at Derrick Henry after his TD and putting hands on Hopkins and Lamar. Said the Bills are no longer loveable losers. Called out the Mafia as being a bunch of jerks. I think it's a few losers in the bunch but unfortunately it stains all of us. Quote

The Eagles nonsense is hardly shown, nor other stadiums quite like this. I'm not sure why? Also, why not more coverage to the fights by fans? That's worse, in my opinion. Quote
