BillsFanForever19 Posted September 8 Posted September 8 (edited) Nah. Lamar isn't in the wrong here. A fan is putting their hands on a teammate, you don't know how that can go. You don't know what they could have on them. Even if they swing with their keys on their hand, you can do damage. There's a reason why fans are taken down without prejudice if they hop a rail in any spectator event. Shoving them back into their seat is a fairly tame response. Then Jackson came over and got near the fan and probably said something to escalate. Either way, the fan was not cool doing this but players gotta be smarter The field has got to be sacrosanct. I will never blame any player from any team that goes after some self-important asshat that reached over and put his hands on a player. 2 3 2 Quote
GolfandBills Posted September 8 Posted September 8 You have zero right as a fan to put your hands on a player like that. The shove was justified imo 1 1 1 Quote

MJS Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Both were in the wrong, but why were they that close to the fans anyway? They were doing a victory lap right next to the stands of the opposing team? That's not normal. 1 4 Quote
gonzo1105 Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Both are wrong, fan shouldn’t touch not one but two players and Lamar shouldn’t shove the fan. 1 Quote
BananaB Posted September 8 Posted September 8 If your celebrating that close to the fans your kind of inviting this to happen. 3 5 Quote
DC Greg Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Fan deserved it 100%. He’s lucky all he got was a shove. We’re better than that as Bills fans. Show some class and dignity. 2 Quote

Walking Tall Posted September 8 Posted September 8 It really was a scary situation and not something to be joked about. I was right near where it happened. Jackson was understandably livid and it frightened me. I was able to get a picture of his face when he was shoving the fan. 1 4 Quote

Thrivefourfive Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Thought it was fun. No issue. Jackson handled it perfectly too. Light push back. Kid was probably stoked. All Good. Move on. Quote

Fans can exhibit horrible behavior, but the league can't do a whole lot about it. Security might eject a few of the worst ones, but we would never hear about it. The league generally takes a very dim view of players retaliating. 2 Quote

Brandon Posted September 8 Posted September 8 As much as I'd really like to blame Lamar Jackson, I can't. He didn't start it. 1 Quote
agilen Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Crazy reaction from the board here… Lamar is 150% in the wrong here. Don’t get near the fans if you are on the opposing team. He should be gone for 4 games for this, just a shockingly dirty thing for an NFL player to do. 3 1 1 9 Quote
Generic_Bills_Fan Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Lamar’s a good dude…if he swung at the fan I’d say it’s a wild reaction but that shove when he was aggressively slapping Lamar’s teammate in the head was well deserved 2 Quote
