Yeah the offense did their job.

The defense did enough, but the group will have a lot of mistakes to clear up.

Just gonna keep repeating this.

Lamar Jackson

Derrick Henry

Mark Andrews

Ronnie Staley

Tyler Lindenbaum

Zay Flowers

Rashod Bateman

Why is there an expectation that the best offense we’ve probably seen in about 4-5 years, one that’s gonna set pantheon level records, wouldn’t do numbers against a Bills defense that has been low first round picks for like 6 years now?

I mean it’s tough…the chiefs offense at times and the ravens offense are both freakishly good offenses led by hof qbs.  It’s a tall tall order that I’m not sure another random coach coming in would improve on the results.  If y’all have a name in mind I’d be curious to hear who it is.

McDs defense FORCED that fumble lol Ed made an incredible play. I get criticizing mcd this isn’t full disagreement at all but like let’s tip our cap a little bit too occasionally.  It only makes the criticisms even more meaningful. I don’t like the whole ‘when the defense makes a play it’s luck but when they don’t mcd sucks’ type stuff

They gave up 40 in the most embarrassing fashion imaginable, though

How much credit can I give the defense besides saying that they do seem to have a knack for timely turnovers, which I suppose is a testament to the teams never give up and keep fighting attitude/spirit

That's as far as I can go

How about these wonderful breaks and bounces we got?

1) Keon getting tripped, so we can run out the clock

2) Baltimore downs punt at 1, but player grazes the end zone line.
3) 4th down tipped ball TD

4) raven pick that touched the ground

5) bobbled catch by Hawes

6) Henry fumbles!
7) prater GW FG was partially blocked, and still goes in!

this is our year!!

I just remember Baltimore missed an XP too. I don't know I should feel about this game. Allen's play is the only part of it that's sustainable. But if it helps us get the #1 seed that's all that matters.

It looks like getting barreled over by Derrick Henry with minimal resistance is mostly sustainable lol. That fumble at that time is just insane though

Yup...lots of things to fix and unfortunately some of them are just going to require time on task for these young players in the secondary.

Luckily there are very few teams that can do what the Ravens can do to you on offense.

Yea while a lot of our flaws were on show tonight I believe that is the most talented team in the league we just played (either them or the Eagles) and the majority of other teams will not be good enough to exploit the weaknesses.

I think they will have to add to the secondary at some point. But we will see.

And the Bills D forcing turnovers. That has gone on so long now that I think you can expect that to sustain. But there remains plenty to fix. Just easier to do it with a win under your belt.

Not exactly breaking any news here but the defense remains a massive concern. I don't know that our coaches can fix it. A lot of players had poor fundamentals and some of the play calls in critical moments were head scratching.

What is embarrassing vs non embarrassing ways to give up points? Like this is Derrick ***** Henry and Lamar Jackson, and then a vintage insane catch from D-Hop

They made enough plays. But there's stuff to clean up. It's week one, there's always stuff to clean up, especially week one

We have a serious problem at safety. Both look small and play small. Out of position a lot. I can forgive someone for not tackling Henry one on one in the open field - most defenders are going to lose that battle - but what bothers me most is how out of position or bad reads both safeties took.

I was hoping to see Hancock take over but the fact he was inactive tonight means he isn't ready yet.
