sven233 Posted August 28 Posted August 28 Jordan Schultz @Schultz_Report Sources: The #Bills worked out three kickers today: Eddy Piñeiro, Zane Gonzalez and Greg Joseph. If Bass isn't ready to go, hopefully we can find someone decent to get us through a few games if needed. Quote

Doc Brown Posted August 28 Posted August 28 That's concerning to say the least. Eddy Pineiro would be my choice. 2 2 Quote
billsfan_34 Posted August 28 Posted August 28 I have never seen a kicker hurt as much as Bass. I saw D. Hopkins was cut. His numbers are similar to Bass’s. May be worth a look if still available. 4 1 Quote
gonzo1105 Posted August 28 Posted August 28 Gotta be some UFL kickers out there who had a really good spring season. Quote
BlueRed Posted August 28 Posted August 28 I’d be fine with them taking a gamble on Caden Davis for the beginning of the year - his leg looked alive when he kicked in the preseason. Quote
BigAl2526 Posted August 28 Posted August 28 I don't think a big leg is going to carry as much of a premium in the NFL with the change in kick returns. Piniero has a career long FG of 56 yards. He may not be booming them from 60 yards, but that's probably OK. Quote

I'd rather have a kicker that's very accurate say from 52-53 yards and in than a kicker that can boom a 62 yarder. That way if it's a 58-yard field goal, you know what you shouldn't do. Quote
Fan in San Diego Posted August 28 Posted August 28 Maybe Zack Davidson can kick FG's and KO's? 2 Quote
stlbills13 Posted August 28 Posted August 28 Why the f.u.ck is everyone hurt this year? Maybe we're getting all our injuries out of the way now? Quote
boyst Posted August 28 Posted August 28 (edited) Matthew wright is also available He and Dustin hopkins will be Looking for a starting role. I think these opportunities are for practice squad. To either or both: 1) break glass if needed 2) use in practice to cut down on reps for t.bass Edited August 28 by boyst 1 Quote
Cray51 Posted August 28 Posted August 28 I saw an interview a few weeks ago where a kicker mentioned this is the first season kickers get to kick with their own football that they practice with and break in during the week Could mean improved distance and better accuracy on kicks Quote

He missed a 25 yarder against the Lions last year, that was the shortest miss of the NFL season. He missed a 24 yarder against Tampa. And he has missed plenty of extra Points. Sure he made a big time 61 yarder against the Dolphins last year. But the guy is just not overly consistent on everything inside of 50. And now he has some pelvic issue. Ugh. Maybe its time for a change. Our special teams is always teetering. Too bad Bruce De Haven passed away. 1 1 3 Quote

Or am I mistaken you're correct. we drafted him. he joins a long list of drafted kickers that went on to great success. Gary Anderson, Dustin Hopkins, Pete Gogolak all left buffalo to have long careers. 1 1 Quote
