I am  good with Dane being gone even with injuries at corner. The first “minor” surprise to me is I thought Shenault would win return job over cordington. Neither has any value at position but if ever was plan Z, I rather see shenault at WR than cordington at CB

Cutting Shenault makes no sense? He's twice the returner Cod is. And he's a legit WR6 where I'm not even putting Cod anywhere near the CB position. As bad as our ST played this preseason, at least Shenault shined.

They want to get him on the PS in case of mid-season injury.

Dane was horrible - good riddance.

Hold your breath that he isn't the #2 for a week 1 call up!

I'm only miffed so far about Ciarlo.

I don't get the hate for Codrington. He was above average as a rookie and a solid performer.

He’s small and slow. People will always want upgrades on those attributes - especially speed.

He's a solid return guy in a league that is now bringing back more return opportunities. But like Matakevich he can't play his defensive position at all. So you have to account for that in your 53 roster construction.  Lets be honest, it wouldn't even be an issue if Elam panned out at CB or Hairston was ready to play. But now it is an issue.

Not if they have a handshake agreement in place.

Since he's not a vested veteran, he is subject to waivers. If another team claims him, any handshake agreement would be meaningless. Hopefully, he doesn't get claimed and we get him to the PS.

I'll be surprised if he doesn't land on the PS. I doubt another team will scoop him up and he seems to fit our PS mold.

This is correct. My bet is that the Bills told him he was being released but that they want him on the PS and either he, his agent or someone close to him put it out on social media. That’s all. Nothing to see here.

I get it that Beane drafted Hairston and he got hurt, but right now the secondary is a flaming disaster. Like season altering disaster.  As it stands now what are we looking at, Ingram starting at CB#2? Lewis as CB#3?

Time to trade some future draft picks and get someone that can play CB.

Hoping a broken down White and a rookie who hasn't played in weeks is the answer at CB is pure negligence. And that doesn't even address the safety issue where at best there is great uncertainty with Bishop. Maybe he plays well which would be a welcome surprise.

I recommend a tall glass of bourbon to help you step back from that ledge.

Probably why he was released "early".  Get him out there while other teams still have 30 or so guys of their own that they are worrying about.

Agree. Looked really bad.

Shenault is the one that I liked and I think he is a victim of our crappy CB situation

The Steelers keep being mentioned as a team desperate for WR help and are said to be waiting on anyones cuts.

If I am big baller Beane i trade a WR for a 6th to them then flip that 6th to get someone elses potential DB cut.

It won't happen but if that trade involved Shavers, it would be pure entertainment to watch this board melt down worse than Chernobyl.

Bean blowing 2 1st CB picks.  Really awful.  I'm all for trading furutre firsts for Parsons.  Bean will find a CB later in the draft.
