dave mcbride Posted August 26 Posted August 26 How many more do they have to cut at this point? Quote

If we cut Jenkins, 4 is awfully thin imo Quote
BullBuchanan Posted August 26 Posted August 26 Well, with Forrest now released, I restate my critique about Beane not bringing in serious Safety competition. 1 Quote

He also was a key component in the trade up for the 2018 draft and that pick was then packaged in the trade up for #7 which resulted in Josh Allen. So that wasn't too bad. Singletary was a mid round 3rd who has over 5,700 career yards from scrimmage. Epenesa was #54 overall and will probably play 10 years in the NFL. Solid player, not a waste. Basham is the worst pick. Moss was 86th overall. Not the best pick but still in the league. I'll give you that one. I still say that's an excellent track record. 4 of those players are no longer on this team, if they were good enough, most of them if not all, would still be on this team 1 Quote

That would be soul crushing for me. 2 Quote

Brand J Posted August 26 Posted August 26 It is kind of odd that SVPG has missed months of practice on the PUP list and all of a sudden becomes available shortly before cuts? 1 Quote

Constantly picking 30 means you are not getting blue chip talent typically Tell that to Eagles GM Howie Roseman and Ravens GM Eric DeCosta just to name a few teams who draft late like us every season. Unlike Beane, those GM's find blue chip talent way more than Beane does 1 Quote

Cordy Glenn was the player traded to the Bengals to take the Bills from pick 21 to 12 in 2018. Cody Ford was drafted in 2019 in early round 2 in an early attempt to build the offensive line in front of Josh Allen. He was traded to the Cardinals for a 5th. He's actually found a home with the Bengals in 2023-2024 as he started 9 games last year and signed a two year extension. 1 1 Quote

If you go to IR before the final cuts you cant return this season. Maybe they wanted to move him off of PUP to put him on IR after the final cuts. Quote

Somewhat implies that they're happy with both Hairston and Tre White I think. Jackson has played teams (though I have no opinion on how well) in the past when not starting. 1 Quote

IIRC, the fifth we got from the Cardinals for Ford turned out to be a good player, but I don’t remember who it was. (Scratch that…it turned into Justin Shorter.) Edited August 26 by mannc Quote
