BlueRed Posted September 7 Posted September 7 If my math is correct the bills will need 6 inactives for tomorrow (I don’t think they filled Bass’ spot on the 53 -unless I missed it). WR Moore OL SVPG OL Lundt CB Tre White DB Hancock S Franklin the other one I could see may be Javon Solomon if they want another DB active. Quote

Remains to be seen if it's false advertising designed to get Ravens coaches and receivers scurrying for whatever film they can find. 2 Quote

I hope he can last the whole game but also don't have hopes he will last the season so blowing our wad with him in week 1 is a concern. Walker, Sanders, Bosa etc.. It will also be interesting to see how my boy Javon Solomon does as well as I love the kid.. It wouldn’t surprise me to see him breakout and have a major impact on this team.. And we do have good veteran depth in front of the rookies... (Rousseau, Oliver, Daquan, Epenesa etc). We have a great mix of experience and youthful talent along our DL, imo.. And it is unfortunate though that Hoecht and Ogunjobi are out, but the way I see it is that it will be nice to have some fresh bodies along that DL mid season, which will hopefully give us a boost.. My biggest concern is play calling.. Can McD/Babich throw in some odd fronts and exotic play calls? That remains to be seen.. Hopefully we don’t play some soft bullcrap vanilla D. Quote

At Miami early in year - Ingram started. He played well too. its gonna be Ingram. But maybe they rotate. Trade series. I feel like that’s happened before w McD here in Buffalo 1 1 Quote

cgang Posted September 7 Posted September 7 I have a bad feeling about the game but I always have a bad feeling so that means Bills will probably win. Lol Still though this feels like the game that Bills played against the Rams a couple years back. Bills came in with retribution in their mind after being bounced in the 13 second game and kicked the Ram’s a@@. Hope we hold at home and get a win! Last home opener at highmark so good vibes from all fans and players from such a “rich” history (pun intended). Quote
BigAl2526 Posted September 7 Posted September 7 I'm greatly encouraged by Bobby Babich's opinion about Dorian Strong's recent improvement. I realize it's one thing to show improvement and strong play in practice and another thing entirely to do the same thing going up against a quality opponent in games where it counts. 1 Quote

Success Posted September 7 Posted September 7 It's cool that our game is the biggest one on the NFL's first Sunday, by a pretty wide margin. I kind of wish there were a few more interesting ones going on. The 4:00 slot has a couple, but the early games look like a snoozefest. Quote

Just signed Franklin to the 53 and why would they need to do that if he's not going to play STs? Unless another team was looking to poach him so the Bills had to sign him or lose him? Either way, he offers more value on the gameday roster than Jackson does right now. 1 Quote

While I think people are generally overlooking Michael Hoecht - this idea that "Our upgrades at DL are suspended 6 weeks" isn't true. Especially along the Interior. T.J. Sanders and Deone Walker is where the major improvements were made. Larry Ogunjobi is an upgrade over some of the depth we had. But I don't think anyone's looking at him as the real game changer among those three additions. And like I said, I expect bigger things out of Hoecht than was thought when we signed him - especially after the impressive off-season he had. And we'll be better when he is in the lineup. But Bosa is where the major upgrade is. The only "wild card" about Bosa is whether or not he can stay healthy. And there's also Landon Jackson, who was hot and cold in the Pre-Season. All this to say we made 6 additions along the Defensive Line to improve it. We have 4 of those 6 on hand now and they're most of where the improvements are expected to come from. They brought him in specifically for Special Teams and he's one of Tabor's favorite ST'ers. I would expect one of Landon Jackson or Javon Solomon to be inactive. Possibly Jackson, as Solomon is a Special Teams player. I know Shavers is a fan favorite lately, but I'm not convinced that he'll be active and Moore won't. Shavers is the #4 Boundary WR on the Depth Chart. Moore is the #2 Slot on the Depth Chart. It wouldn't surprise me if Shavers dressed over Moore. But I would be equally, if not more unsurprised if it went the other way. Edited September 7 by BillsFanForever19 Quote

Special K Posted September 7 Posted September 7 As others have said, I love the fact the Bills are playing in front of a national audience so often, but I really hate having to wait all freakin day to see the game. I'm just ready to get this season underway.... if the Bills can get a win tomorrow, it could be the first of a pretty decent winning streak to start the season, whereas a loss would not be the end of the world, but would certainly make for an annoying next couple of days. Lets get this win, boys!! Go Bills!!!!! 1 Quote

I've always always always appreciated their straight forward non-hot take perspectives. Which, when eating lunch just now I see nfl.com says that the game will be a shoot out, 10 TD's between he QB's. I guess I get the idea. Everyone is expecting fireworks. But, back to Carruci and Lebetard they seemed more balanced. I am, too. I don't see either team scoring the 35+. The Bills offense has the potential, and their defense has the unpotential to give it up. The Ravens offense has the ability to score but not the explosiveness of the Bills. Their defense can shut down and offense. If the winning score is something 31-20something I'd expect that about the highest. If both teams touch the mid 30's I will be amazed. I don't know the Ravens have the horses to play like that - I don't know enough about their depth. I know the Bills could score 40 if they fire off. There have been a lot of games that people anticipate high scoring shootouts over the last few years that ended up being a big defensive game. Quote
