People bringing up Shavers, they could

still keep him with Gabe.

Also, most teams have a Shavers.  Some guy named Tinsley made plays for the Bengals last night.  Jackson Meeks, a UDFA, has been lighting it up for Detroit.  List goes on and on.

I really want this to happen. This WGR is infuriating. All they do is cry about WRs. They beg for guys constantly that are less than marginal. Now they don’t want this guy. A guy that Josh has chemistry with. Gabe Davis as your 4th option is excellent for this offense. These 2 on the morning show are an absolute embarrassment

The thing is that Gabe didn’t have chemistry with Josh for his last two seasons here, along with being constantly injured and his near fifty percent catch rate is why he was not even considered for a new contract ,

Oh, and just stop following WGR, those guys are the worst.

Meanwhile: Howie Roseman and the Eagles continue playing chess above BB’s level.

The Eagles are trading for former second-round receiver John Metchie III, a league source confirmed to NBC Sports Philadelphia on Sunday afternoon.

According to ESPN, the Eagles are getting Metchie and a 6th-round pick, while the Texans are getting TE Harrison Bryant and a 5th-round pick.

Bryant, who signed with the Eagles in free agency, was facing a numbers crunch and was unlikely to make the 53-man roster. So this is a low-risk, high-reward trade for Howie Roseman.
It’s the second trade this summer for Roseman, who previously acquired CB Jakorian Bennett from the Raiders for DT Thomas Booker IV.

People have selective memories. He was awful his last year here. No chemistry with Josh. Coming off serious injury at the end of his career. He does not solve any issue they have that I can see.

Wasn’t he running wrong routes which led to numerous interceptions?

Davis is not coming in with pre-Brady use.  Shakir, Coleman, Kincaid are still the primary pass catchers.  Wr 4 or 5 Davis is very good.  Davis is a better wr than Moore.  He very well could be better than Palmer.

If he is signed and has more yards than Palmer then we are in TROUBLE

I turned wgr off years ago.  No turning back son.  Best decision of my...life.

I like Jeremy White. I think he’s good at what he does and is knowledgeable. I do think his incessant rants on WR are annoying though.

Honest question-how is trading for Metchie a superior move to the Bills signing Davis? They gave up draft assets for a guy who had 40 catches and 1 touchdown in his career. He hasn’t exactly been tearing up the league

The guy is washed. There are currently over 300 wide receivers in NFL camps. Gabe Davis isn’t one of them and there is a reason for that. It has nothing to do with money.

He had an ankle injury. If he was healthy he most likely would be on a roster.

Who should the Bills be talking to rather than Davis?

Palmer

Coleman

Shakir

Samuel

Moore

Shavers

Hamler

Even Wilkerson.

Guys I’d rather see on the field before Gabe Davis.

I’m good with that.

And then most of them do nothing when defenses start scheming.

Josh was statistically at his WORST whenever he threw to Gabe.

Didn't realize Davis played qb?

I think the point of that post is bad things usually happen when Gabe Davis is targeted , which I would also agree with

Gabe built a career off of one playoff game where the Chiefs didn’t bother to cover him (go rewatch the game) … this isn’t a solution to anything that might ail the passing game

Many people forget how poor the KC defense was that year. However, their offense had elite players like Hill and Kelce, allowing them to score at will.

Our defense is just as bad, if not worse, than that Kansas City team, and we lack any premier weapons on offense, which is completely inexcusable.

I didn't say who should be starting, i said given the lack of faith in the existing room, what scrap heap WR is a better fit than Davis?

Move him to safety, all he needs to do is bat the ball down

lol, i was thinking the same thing.  I mean he can flail around 5 yards behind the play just as well as bishop
