Has a coach ever been fired between the first and second preseason games? This could be a first.

Wasn't Bobby April fired between the last preseason game and opening game?

What surprised me? How boring the game was.

Interesting you say that as I actually thought it was a pretty entertaining game.

Maybe it's just me though, as I'm Canadian and have been watching the CFL all summer. So this seemed like the Super Bowl compared to some of those cfl games

Ciarlo also added a couple of nice splash plays. One on STs and one on defense. He's definitely in the mix for a PS spot if I'm making the call.

Shavers was in for a lot more snaps then Keon. I'm not panicking quite yet. Coleman has looked good in camp. He's still got time to carry it over. Preferably when Josh is in there.

hopefully Keon isn’t just looking good against our secondary

For the limited amount of snaps he was out there, Bosa was a straight up demon. If he can keep that come the regular season teams will have to focus on him more and that should open opportunities from Oliver/Groot and the youngins.

I thought our two young DTs showed well. Honestly, I don't see any reason why DaQuan Jones lasts as the starter over Sanders.

The big concern I have coming out of this game is Landon Jackson. He has a LOT of work to do to get better IMO.

in this league, having a few of those force multipliers is important.

I know @Kirby Jackson and I have beat that drum a lot- 4 quarters are nice but sometimes you need the dollar. Superstars elevate those around them and change the count. Guys like Allen (or healthy bosa) make it 12 vs 11 on the field

Maybe it was because I knew the final score ahead of time. (I watched it on delay.)

In fairness, he's made plays against everyone back there... including Benford. That's reassuring.

Yup. We have always needed that guy on defense. Someone who can wreck a play at a key time. I really believe that Bosa, when healthy is that guy. He's the closer we needed Von Miller to be.

Bills only allowed like 79 yards rushing, but Giants qbs weren't pressured really at all with zero sacks.

NYG attempted 50 passes….with zero sacks by the Bills D. That is frankly pathetic.

A.  Official attendance listed at 69,835?  To me it looked like a disappointingly much smaller crowd for Kids Day.

B.  Both the Bill's new kickers looked good. Brad Robbins averaged 53 yards on 6 punts while temporary place-kicker Davis (not Ray) made all his kicks and put 4 in the designated kick-off return zone.

C.  Keon Coleman had 1 catch for zero yards.  Shavers had 2 for 70 yards.  What's up??

D.  LB Keonta Jenkins led the Bills with 6 tackles.  Jimmy Ciarlo, the former Army team Captain, added 4 tackles. He's 6'3" and 220 lbs. as a LB.

E.  An entire pre-season game without a sack for the Bills is tough to swallow!

If Ciarlo can do something similar like this against the Bears, then he's headed for the practice squad. Looks like a good special teamer as well.

By far the longest it’s ever taken me to get to a Bills game. Traffic was worse than a regular season game. The end zones were packed. Mid field had some empty areas. Most people by far that I’ve ever seen at a preseason game.

he's not wrong...   Pass rush looked like the same old pathetic version except for walkers one rush move.

Must be all those UFL games you watch.

Surpised at how meh Landon Jackson looked, along with DeWayne Carter seeming like the same mediocre player he was last year.   Worried about our last two 3rd Round Picks with both having warning signs continue from when they were drafted (Carter undersized and washed out against the run easily & Jackson high cut, rigid and tight hips).

Well at least he doesn't have a pelvic injury.

That's what I'm afraid of - Keon is just a camp player!

no you dont understand it's reverse psychology, this is actually the greatest D line that's ever existed, but they'll keep pool sharking the opposition year after year and lull them into a sense of complacency then around 2040 BOOM they'll get a sack

Posted

Jesus. Preseason, zero game plan, starters probably told to go easy. And then the scrubs came in. Who cares if there are sacks in preseason. You guys are a bunch of whiners.

Wash, rinse and repeat.  It will never change with McDermott no matter what talent we have.

I know, McDermott stinks in these opening preseason games. He's so predictable—time for a change.
