I had to go to the APPS button on my smart TV and download MAX (my smart tv is kinda old).   I think ROKU has something similar.

Go to Max My Sooner friend.  Then just a quick search on Hard Knocks and it comes up immediately.  You can’t go wrong see the trailer.  It’s pretty nice for a promo.

 

It won’t fully air until 9pm.  I mentioned on another thread, I’ll watch tomorrow morning at 5 am, before I get ready for the gym.  I try to always be on the gym floor at 6:30, so I get 45 minutes in the am to make my beautiful wife breakfast and coffee.

Yep! Once it “goes live” you can watch it whenever in tonality

When I search Max all that comes up is Hard Knocks with AFC North and Hard Knocks with the Bears.

Chernobyl was unbelievably good. But I would only watch 1 episode a week, the way shows are intended to be watched. It's too grim to binge. Plus there's only 5 episodes so if you start this week you'll count down to the NFL season 😁

 

Another HBO show I'll mention that no one else brought up is Nathan Fielder's The Rehearsal. I have no clue if anybody other than me has watched it and I don't even know how to explain what it is. Best description I can give is extreme social experiments conducted on real people by an evil genius. But that's underselling it. Your jaw will regularly be on the floor.

12. True Detective - Season 1 especially (each season is different and independent from the others)
13. White Lotus - All seasons have been really good, each season is also different and independent from the others for the most part.
14. The Night Of - One of the all time best limited series shows IMHO
15. The Jinx - Awesome docuseries following alleged killer Robert Durst

There are a lot of other great shows, limited series, documentaries etc all depending on taste, this is just more of a hit list I would start with.  Its really got some of the best original content of any content provider out there IMHO.

Barry and Succession are two of the best original shows on there for sure.  I haven't watched Veep, but Curb is an all time fave for me too.

 

 

Life and Times of Tim and Ten Year Old Tom are often overlooked gems lol.  I still need to watch the Last of Us one of these days.

 

NOTE:  Unrelated to HBO - just on the topic of shows - Just finished the first season "Mobland" on Paramount+ (by Guy Ritchie) and it was awesome.  

This is a great list. The wire is a must watch since he never seen it.

 

I would also add “Oz” to your list. If you haven’t seen it, definitely check it out. Phenomenal, and I honestly thought it just got better and better as the seasons went on.

 

The series “6 feet under” is great too.

 

”Ballers” is really, really good. Especially for NFL fans.

 

There’s an HBO movie called “something the lord made”. Highly recommend that one as well. One of my favorite movies. It’s a true story about Dr. Alfred Blalock and his black assistant Vivien Thomas, the men who cured “blue baby syndrome” and pioneered modern heart surgery. Vivien Thomas’ life was incredible.

The mini series “warm springs” on FDR’s battle with polio is also excellent.

 

There are so many good HBO series and movies. HBO Max is by far my favorite streaming service. If I could only have one streaming service, it would be HBO max.

My favorite series ever.  Breaking Bad is up there due to the dynamic between Walter and Jesse, but the GoT world gives it the nod in my book.

 

Currently watching Gangs of London (currently on Netflix until aug 16th, I believe).  I recommend it to everyone. Currently 2 seasons.  It can be pretty graphic though.  Just a heads up
