Ethan in Cleveland Posted Sunday at 05:48 PM Posted Sunday at 05:48 PM This might make them keep 6 WR at least for the season opener. If they keep Codrington for returns then some of position group is going to be down a man. Probably just go with 5 LBs and maybe one less CB. Safety is a huge problem now. Bishop and Rapp both hurt and we dont even know if either of them are any good. Hamlin probably going to make the team now. Would be nice to see a couple of these rookie DBs step up and be a 3rd day gem. Quote

MasterStrategist Posted Sunday at 05:59 PM Posted Sunday at 05:59 PM I might be wrong - but fairly certain Shakir suffered a high ankle sprain against the Ravens LY (week 4) to the same right ankle. Concerning if same ankle, but also severity not 100% known. LY, he only missed 1 week but was playing thru it for 4-5 weeks. 1 Quote

Well silver lining is he should be ready week 1, and he/Josh already have a great rapport. Palmer is missing time with a groin, hes more important to get reps IMO. Ankles can linger but if they are given proper time to rest (which with over a month left until the opener there’s a good a chance he gets the rest he needs). Issue with in season injuries is they tend to rush people back. 1 Quote
BuffBillsForLife Posted Sunday at 07:11 PM Posted Sunday at 07:11 PM While it's obviously terrible that our best receiver is going to miss time and potentially have a nagging injury, it'll be nice to see Coleman or Kincaid get reps at slot, which is where they should be anyway. 1 Quote
GunnerBill Posted Sunday at 07:11 PM Posted Sunday at 07:11 PM So he is touch and go for the Ravens game. Quote

Typically that's when it happens in season and players don't have enough recovery time to get 100% Taking 4-5-6weeks off right now gives him the ample recovery time to come back and not have it be resurfacing every week If he did this week 6 yeah It would linger the whole year because he probably never get it 100% 1 1 Quote
Shortchaz Posted Sunday at 07:20 PM Posted Sunday at 07:20 PM Bills aren’t going to be 100% at the start of the season (which we knew), are they going to be 100% at any point is the question that remains Quote

Maine-iac Posted Sunday at 08:35 PM Posted Sunday at 08:35 PM I'm not saying it can't happen but for those thinking they're going to see Keon take over the slot for a few weeks I wouldn't hold my breath. I get it that St. Brown has everyone looking for a big slot but I highly doubt our coaching staff sees Keon doing what St. Brown is doing. AJ Brown maybe but not St Brown. Quote
DCofNC Posted Sunday at 08:36 PM Posted Sunday at 08:36 PM I hope they shelf him until it’s completely healed even if that means we don’t see him till week 3 or 4. I would rather him at 100% when it matters than 80% all year. 2 1 Quote

Yes, I don’t really care what they do with Keon, but they HAVE to get Kindcaid working that middle or it’s a complete waste of a 1st round pick and then some. I would love to see Kincaid break out as the go to weapon he’s supposed to be, kind of Whitten-esque, there’s still plenty of room for a true slot to work with him. For now, I see Moore getting more reps in the Shakir role and him moving more outside as Shakir returns. Moore and Shakir are very similar players, with more natural ability probably going to Moore. Shakir is an animal, so his spot is beyond secure, but there’s plenty of guys that can step into that role and be ok. 1 Quote
Paup 1995MVP Posted Sunday at 08:44 PM Posted Sunday at 08:44 PM I am more concerned about Bishop. We know what Shakir can do. Bishop on the other hand not so much. His shoulder injury last summer put him big time behind. And he never caught up. Now he has a quad injury-anyone know how serious it is? And Rapp always seems to be one big hit away from a concussion or some other damage. Time for Forrest and Hancock to step up and make their mark. Because Hamlin and anyone playing safety is not good. I had a high ankle sprain when I played HS ball. I was on crutches for a while but felt great after about 2 weeks and never had a problem with my ankle again. Quote
ShakAttack Posted Sunday at 08:53 PM Posted Sunday at 08:53 PM Obviously not ideal but fine as long as this doesn't turn into yet another situation where a player reveals at the end of the season they had been playing all year on an injury incurred in the pre-season. Wait until he is 100%, even if it means missing a couple games, instead of having him at 80% all year with a higher chance to reaggravate. Is this not the "everybody eats" offense? If so, the WR position should be best suited for "next man up" than any other on this roster, hopefully. Quote
Maine-iac Posted Sunday at 08:54 PM Posted Sunday at 08:54 PM Would love to see Samuel earn a little bit of the contract we're paying him. His cap hit and dead money he's isn't going anywhere (this year), but if he doesn't show something we have a 2026 out. I'm not rooting against him though. Wish he'd break out and have some good production instead of filling the injury list with his name week after week. Quote
