The idea of spending that kind of money on a property where you're hemmed in by neighbors on 4 sides is utterly incomprehensible to me.

What is interesting is that JA bought a house for less money in CA and makes multiples in salary.  JA comparatively looks conservative and cheap.

The word is grounded, not cheap.

Its the pistachio farmer in him that keeps him humble.

I see there is a pool, but is there a pond?

There’s a pool, and a pond. The pond would be good for you.

Someone had to do it!   :)

I wonder what the monthly mortgage payment would be.  $80K?

As they say, If you have to ask……

you don’t want to know about the taxes, insurance, utilities or HOA fees. I’ll kick in for the pool care if I get privileges.  😊

I’ve thought that from the beginning he could afford a heck of a lot more than what he lived in for these years.  Now with he and Hailee’s combined wealth, they probably will get something much nicer.  My guess is maybe something that has a ranch option given how he was raised, but he may like the Malibu life in his off season.

I could honestly care less as he’s our guy.  Steinfeld seems like a decent person for a celebrity.

Remember when people hated Rob Johnson because he was a California boy?

$64K according to the Zillow estimate. That's with putting down $2.14M as a down payment, and a credit score of 720 or higher.

really nice house

I’ll be very disappointed if he doesn’t have an Open House when the Bills fans come to town. I think that would be the proper gesture.

Now would be a good time to look into adequate insurance, including an umbrella policy to cover the things that only Bills fans could think of!

It’s too much like my current house, what with all the walls and floors, separated by doors. I mean, it’s almost the exact same thing, with a few minor modifications, of course.

The $10.7 Mil won’t buy ALL the houses in Buffalo, but that would get you quite a collection of average priced homes in WNY. Rent those bad boys out and you have a nice income stream!

.

To illustrate your point, the most expensive home sale in Buffalo's history just occurred a few days ago at 3.5 mil. I live in the Charlotte area and a listing like Shaq's is not out of the ordinary. The amount of wealth in the city is obscene. I unfortunately do not fall into that group lol

I get amused when the people of WNY talk about the high cost of housing, traffic or hot summers.

My wife is from Rock Hill, SC (just south of you) with a lot of family in Charlotte. There are some gorgeous old areas there, but they come with a distinctly non-WNY price tag.

That's ok, if you did you wouldn't be a fit for this board 🙂.
