I think Elam will do okay in Dallas. He is has an aggressive play style and that didn’t fit right with our philosophy. He will get some PI penalties for being too handsy, he will over commit on coverage, but he will also track the ball and get a good amount of interceptions. His stats will look pretty good on paper.

The Chiefs failed him. If they had drafted him his handiness would have gotten him a HOF ticket already! Maybe a jacket, but at least a ticket!

Not until Robert 'HoF' Foster takes his rightful place among WRs enshrined in Canton! 😠

This is going to be Dallas' version of the Jerry Hughes trade.

I hope it works out for everybody involved. But watching Elam trip over his own feet multiple times here was insane. The Bills needed to move on

He sucks.

He was Beane’s “Maybin.”

Horrible pick.  Colossal bust.

EDIT:  I don’t blame Elam and I don’t think he failed due to lack of effort.  Similarly to Maybin, he was overdrafted. Not his fault. I do wish him well, but I don’t think a change in scenery is going to elevate his level of talent.

Get real.  A #23 pick can't be a "colossal bust".

Kaiir is a FANTASTIC human being. It didn’t work out here for a variety of reasons. It just wasn’t a good fit. I wish him nothing but the best in Dallas and hope that he becomes a star.

He looked good in practice while he was here, too. It was either last year or the one before he was getting the majority of reps with the 1s (ahead of Benford) and looked to be on track to be the week 1 starter. Then Benford passed him at the last minute and everyone was confused.

Let's see him in live game reps. I hope he does well. But some guys shine in practice then flop on game day.

This is a magnanimous take and I'm maybe 90% on board. The other 10% is the %$@ him sentiment I have cuz he ended up being a dreadful first rounder for us at a position where he could have made a difference (even a small one could have helped).

Let’s be real here. The real story here is your use of the word Magnanimous.

The kid obviously showed he had talent in college.  Unfortunately, he was drafted to a team that wasn't suited for his coverage skills.  Wish him the best...just not if he's playing the Bills.

I don’t really care about Elam.  I imagine he will be a decent backup when their guys get healthy.

I am more interested in Donovan Ezeiraku.  I think I still prefer him to Hairston.   They can’t stop raving about how good he has been this spring and now 3 practices in.

I really hope he doesn’t turn out to be a consistent double digit sack guy.

Thats different though.  Only our laundry matters in practice.  Unless its bad, and then its just practice!

It's all practice
