Jim’s daughter Erin gave birth to their first grandchild a little boy a few days ago. If you follow Jill or Jim on Instagram, there is a couple of messages there. They need our prayers once again. Apparently there were some complications and Jill just posted that he’s having a procedure on Wednesday. I can never remember how to cut and paste on Instagram to get it here. But maybe somebody else can do it

Here ya go, bro.

Jesus, please help the whole Kelly family to receive your peace and comfort during this difficult time. Please heal the baby and give the doctors wisdom to know what to do next. Amen.

Jim Kelly is proof that people can change.

All stories I heard about him in his prime years is that he was a giant a-hole.

Now he seems like the most kind and genuine person....great family man.

Pulling for this family.  They have been through so much.

Great family men don't have affairs, https://www.essentiallysports.com/nfl-legends-news-bills-legend-jim-kelly-admits-being-unfaithful-to-his-wife-during-sons-diagnosis/ Just saying. Jimbo may be better than he was but he still far from a saint.

I think that was the point: in his prime years as a QB he was a giant arse and not a good family man, in retirement he changed and started growing to become a better man husband and father.

Whether that makes him a "great family man" or whether his past has to be weighed with his present ties into a lot of questions about the degree to which you believe in the power of redemption or whether personal change is possible and real rendering rehabilitation possible etc.  - I leave that to you.

Prayers for the Kellys

Man - my heart breaks for what Jim and his family have all endured over the years, and to still see them having to go through more things like this is tough, especially now being a parent myself with 2 little ones.

I had a scare with my youngest around 5 months that turned out to be nothing, but it was the longest 24 hours of my life in that hospital before we got the news that my son was just too strong and caused himself to faint while throwing up the first time from pushing it out so hard and he was perfectly fine.  I remember thinking how lucky we are but at the same time it was heart wrenching thinking about other parents who have been in that situation and didn't get the best news of "its nothing" and what it must be like to go through that.  Before I had kids I never realized just how much you think about and worry about as a parent every day, and that is when nothing is wrong.  To have to go through serious things with your kids, grandkids, etc is just something I can't even imagine.

So my heart, prayers, and love go out the Kelly family and pray for a full and speedy recovery.

That’s rough. I can’t imagine and hope to never have to deal with anything like that. As most here know, Jim Kelly’s son, Hunter, died of Krabbe Disease, which is inherited. I hope that this is not that or any other untreatable illness and that the child is fully healthy soon.
