This is the type of thing you really need to see in person to appreciate.

Agreed, but they do a nice job of making you feel like you’re there.  I think all of us are not only looking to the last game we may see this year from Rich Stadium, but our 1st game in the new stadium.  My boys and I go to a game each year preferably when there is a 1pm game in September.  We’re not interested in New Orleans, so it’s a debate amongst us between Tampa or KC.  It will be appreciably colder and windy, but they should at least see one game in the elements.  They said they can handle it,but we’ll see.  They are born and raised in Tampa, one wants the Bucs, and the other wants the Chiefs.  I told them I’m only flying up for one game.

Anyway, OP, thank you as always for sharing cool videos like this one.  I’m not an X person, so appreciate when you guys see something cool about the Bills and share it.  Again, a sincere thank you.

Living out of state, not attending games, and lecturing season ticket holders on what's best for them. Yeah, that sense of entitlement feels par for the course.

When it opens people are gonna talk/complain about how steep it is......most people dont go to other stadiums and all the new ones are steep like this.  You can see it in some of the mages/movies.  A few people will need one less beer, LOL

Yep.

i went to a rangers yankees game at the rangers awful new stadium and the seats made me feel like i was falling forward.  I absolutely hated it.  Couple that with the roof and air conditioning and it’s one of the worst stadiums I have ever watched a baseball game in.

if you don’t like heights or that sensation of being above the next seat you won’t like the seats.  I probably will never go to a game.

going to see the stadium next week and run into the pro shop though and I can’t wait

It's going to be either a dry stadium or BYOB.

We should get to vote on this. I’d be willing to bet on the outcome!

I spent four days at ROSS in Ottawa training on some new television production gear … had no idea they were involved in this kind of technology

Yes, The Bills use Ross for graphics, switchers, routers, IP networking etc. Ross controls an LED panel better than anyone other than a company called Disguise who does the Sphere in Vegas. I met with the Bills at a recent Ross event. Cool group of guys.

Its certainly nicer than what used to be called the Gator Bowl where the Jaguars play what supposedly is called football.  I went to the Bills-Jags playoff game there after the 2017 season.  That place is an absolute dump.  But then again so is the team.  And the owner would rather they play full time in London anyways.  Anyone know if they have renovated it in the past 8 years?

I was also at Gillette Stadium to see Metallica last summer.  Pretty nice facility.  Nothing spectacular.  But a solid venue for the time it was built.  And was at Levi Stadium to see Metallica 3 weeks ago in Santa Clara.  That is a beautiful facility.  Great sight lines.  And the area around the stadium is nice.  Interestingly the stadium is right next to Great America amusement park.  They pretty much share parking lots.

The   Levi stadium site  was part  of the parking lots for Great America. That was about the largest open area in Silicon Valley, except for protected wetlands right on SF Bay. Plus their practice facility was already there.

The city of San Francisco actually had a vote that passed to build a fancy new stadium at the site of the former Candlestick Park with development around the stadium. But the city leaders couldn't agree on the particulars of what should be in the new stadium. So the 49ers said in their best Eric Cartman voice, "Screw you guys, I'm going home" and built Levi's Stadium at their training facility in Santa Clara, about an hour away from San Francisco, and much closer to San Jose.

Been to plenty of games, thanks.  And Many season ticket holders are pissed it wasn't a dome so how about not speaking for all of them?

Well, clearly not because they're building a brand new stadium for billions of dollars and they explicitly chose NOT to have a dome. It's been done and dusted for years. Silly to keep whining about it at this point.

OK, didn't know that about you.  So I'm an ME and have used lifts in many places to, but didn't see much of an area where you had a flat and large enough surface to sit the lift and looked like it would have to swing in fairly far from there.  Recall one project working in an area with around a 32 foot high ceiling to next level but needed access to a surface about 4 or 5 feet below that level, so they built scaffolding off the floor above and hung it down.  It was just entirely clamped onto the floor above to hold in place.

Maybe there's a way they can easily just keep leap frogging that structure along as they get to the next section??

That’s what I thought but instead it looks like they keep expanding it. A few months ago it was just along the west sideline but now it covers much more of the underside of the roof. They obviously think it’s more efficient than a lift. (And yes, I’ve seen them use a lift on a stepped floor surface but I have to admit the stadium roof is pretty darn high.) As I said, we’ll know soon.

You obviously know the Bay area well.  I had never been to the San Jose/Santa Clara area before going out last month to see Metallica.  Very nice there.  The San Jose airport was literally maybe 7-8 minutes to Levi Stadium and the Santa Clara Hilton where we were staying, which is right next to the stadium.

Its a long ways from Santa Clara to downtown San Francisco though.  The 49ers don't seem to really be San Fran's team as much as the regions team.  But the stadium sure is nice though.

Thanks for that tidbit.  I assume you live out there to know all the details.  Santa Clara is nice.  Very clean and modern.  San Jose is nice in areas too.  Have an amazing indoor mall there called Westfield.  Very impressive.  And we went to a Casino called Casino Matrix in San Jose.  Not overly fancy.  But the place was packed on a Thursday night.  San Fran is nice down by the water.  But there are some real rough areas with some serious skank people downtown.

I lived in the Bay area from 2000 through 2013. I remember passing the 49ers team busses on the 101 on game days. The players would drive to Santa Clara, then be bussed to Candlestick, and then bussed back to Santa Clara after the games.
