Ramsey tired of getting torched by Josh twice a year

So, now Ramsey will get torched by Lamar twice a year.

Four times a year. Don't forget about Burrow.

The Dolphins now have zero starting caliber outside CBs.

They used to say you should build your team to win your division.

The Dolphins saw us with no WRs and decided to build a team with no CBs

Not sure what you mean. Is he going to run for the presidency after Trump?

Yale has some famous graduates, George W Bush, William J Clinton, Hillary D Rodham ...

It’s a joke, it’s like when Fitz was playing, at some point, the announcers would always mention that he went to Harvard.

It doesn't to me. McDaniel underused and then let Gesicki go because he couldn't block which is a requirement of a tight end in the Shanny offense. They spend a year with nothing at the spot then find their way to Smith who is a nice scheme fit - a true two way tight end - who has a career year. Then they trade him and bring in a retired converted wide receiver who can't block.

Baffling.

No WRs was last year. And they had CBs. Didn’t work out so well.

I know it's sort of a joke. I'm just tired of people, including announcers, bringing up the school they went to as if, in this case, implying that they are smart. Really? Those who go to Yale most likely has money and make life time connections to future powerful people.

Did the Steelers and Dolphins GMs go out drinking together all day yesterday and come up with these trades?

This is what happens when you have insensitive GMs 😇

Good to see you posting again, been awhile.

I am not sure what Miami is doing except finding a trade partner for a very unhappy Ramsey.

Minkah had a heck of a run . Is he done ? not sure

But he is back home in Fla

This trade is worth following into the season. Getting Smith should be a big + for Steelers. Should be ...

Yeah flipping jobs to a new company. Moving etc etc. stupid life sometimes. Hope to be around more as the season gets closer.

From the few Steelers’ fans I know, this is one move they like. They feel Fitzpatrick is on the decline, which I disagree with to the extent you move on.

They feel Ramsey or Slay transition to a safety role.

What are your thoughts?

My connection in the Steeler media, and Steeler friends all think Ramsey is overrated.

There is an inner turmoil brewing, which caused the likes of talented players like Pickens and Minkah to be moved.  Pickens made his own bed, Minkah is being thrown under the bus.

My bigger issue is the mismanagement at the Qb position, and lack of any long term thought process.  Tomlin is stubborn as hell and refuses to let a sub .500 team/down year occur.  They should be re loading with draft picks and capital for 2026, instead they are doing a strange dance to stay relevant this season.

Time will tell, but I think Omar is gone in 2026 or 2027.  I dont see how they give Watt the $ he deserves- they'd be smart to move on now.  But again, they think 2025 is their year.

Man looking at this another way, the Steelers have a good group of tight ends.  The style they play and their personnel might be a very good match this year.

it’s a shame the Steelers are not on hard knocks.

Ramsey is still good (by the numbers) and Fitzpatrick was terrible last season (by the numbers). And the Steeler pass D was terrible in the final third of last season (including the playoffs).

I'd rather have Ramsey on the Dolphins than Fitzpatrick.

Josh shreds Ramsey. Fitzpatrick is a very competent player.

I dunno.

Fitzpatrick *has* been a very competent player, but he had a passer rating of 127.6 against him and completion % against of 78.8%.  That's like a 40 point passer rating against jump and ~20% jump in completion %.

It’s not mismanagement. It’s careful management.

If they take a big swing at QB and they are wrong, everyone is gone.

The longer they pretend they are biding their time at QB, the longer they remain employed.

The drought era Bills LOVED this tactic.

You trade up multiple firsts for a QB, and you miss, you are fired.

You take a late first QB here and a day 2 QB there, sign a mid tier guy or a reclamation project, and you convince ownership you just haven’t found the right guy yet, and ownership is happy with playoffs almost every year and a full stadium for a divisional game in December, and you have a job for a really long time in the NFL.

Not only that, but they committed to the Rodgers experience this season. So there’s really no reason to not go for it now.

Really they’ve wasted 5 year committing to the heir of Big Ben already. What’s another year?
