Virgil Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I'm actually glad we play them in Week 1. If it were up to me, we would start with Baltimore, KC, and the Bengals. The first few weeks are such an anomaly of performance and I'd rather just get them out of the way. Plus, besides playoff seeding, we've come to realize very clearly that regular season outcomes have no influence over post-season outcomes. Play them, get it over with, show nothing on tape. Destroy them in the playoffs. Quote

Just in Atlanta Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I originally thought we were gonna win this game. Now with this revenge factor I just don’t know. 1 Quote

Paup 1995MVP Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago 1 hour ago, Gregg said: I put the blame mostly on the defense for not doing well in those rounds. If you can't protect a 3-point lead with just 13 seconds left in the game and the other team starting at their own 25 then losing in these rounds year after year is no surprise. Hopefully the moves Beane made this offseason improve the defense so they can finally get to a Super Bowl with a chance to win it. I put a lot of blame on the coaching as well. 13 seconds was a debacle from the kickoff to playing "prevent us from winning defense" on both of KC's plays from scrimmage. In the playoff win against Baltimore the offense got way too conservative in the second half. And in the loss at Baltimore, the trick play that Brady called almost knocked Josh out for the season in week 4, and took away all our 2nd half momentum. A lot of people like Brady. But overall his offense play calling is predictable and conservative. (was terrible in short yardage in the AFCCG) And with a QB as dynamic as #17 he needs to be better and open things up. We have good weapons this year. Need to push the ball down the field. You want a take what the defense gives us offense, why pay $300+ million for Josh Allen? Just go get the next Brad Johnson, Teddy Bridgewater or Mitch Trubisky. Maybe even Spencer Ratler. LOL 1 Quote

corta765 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago This may come as a shock to the Ravens but the Bills are also seeking vengeance. In fact if I am not mistaken 31 other teams all have a grudge on their shoulders after last year. Don't worry every player is coming back in the best shape ever and they have never felt better. Quote
bigduke6 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago seeking revenge for what? they failed on their own. Lamar threw a dumb pick, TE dropped a TD. acting like we did something wrong to them. lol. Quote
sven233 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago It's odd for sure to see them all fired up about Week 1 and so many of their guys wanting "revenge". I don't know about everyone else, but for years, but a Week 1 result, whether it be a win or a loss, a dominant win or a brutal loss, doesn't mean much to me no matter who we play. I take the result with a grain of salt because there are so many strange things that can happen. Teams tend to come out rusty and out of sync many times. Teams don't have any film on any off season adjustments. There are just so many more variables in the first couple weeks of a season. If this matchup was happening in Week 8 or something like that, I would be much more concerned with the result and what the game looks like. But yeah....Week 1, while it will be fun and the result counts in the standings, is not going to affect me much either way regardless if we win, win big, lose, or lose big. Injuries are the only thing that will bump me either way after the game is over. But hey.....they want to make a huge deal about it? Fine with me. I'll be more concerned about what happens in the rematch in January. Same with the Chiefs game. Other than the standings, the result in the regular season means nothing to me. It's all about the Playoffs at this point. Quote
