He is a tweener prospect and probably has a ceiling as a situational pass rusher. I see him as a 5th-6th round pick. Quote

BarleyNY Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago 6 minutes ago, Steve Billieve said: He was getting snaps last year, I would be shocked if he didn’t roster No really. He had 134 defensive snaps last season. 59 of them came in week 17 against NE. The remaining were mostly clumped in three other games, two of which were blowouts. So not a lot of meaningful defensive snaps. He did play a fair bit on Specials tho with 241 snaps. He seems to be a regular presence there. LINK 1 Quote

If the staff thought this guy would have a shot at starting, I don't feel they would have spent all those resources on DE 1 Quote
Big Turk Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) situational 3-4 sack guy, maybe 5 sacks tops. Likely looks great against bad teams and invisible against good ones. Edited 4 hours ago by Big Turk 1 Quote
billsfan89 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I think he's a ST player whose gonna get some snaps as a situational pass rusher. My hope is that he can play some more meaningful defensive snaps as he secures a situational pass rush rotational role. Ideally getting 2-4 sacks in a limited role and continuing to play solid on special teams would be a good year 2 for him. Getting him on the field for a more limited role consistently would be a big win and it would put a lot on tape for him to work with going into year 3. I think with AJE on the final year of his contract there's room for Solomon to push himself into that role in 2026. Quote

LINK I liked Solomon coming out of the draft so I may have some confirmation bias going, but I felt like Solomon flashed quite a lot last year-sacks and pressures. 1 Quote
YattaOkasan Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I like (as Joe Marino has said) that he brings a different rush skill set than the other DEs. He does seem to get pushed around in the run game so thats probably the biggest thing holding him back. His pressure rate was good so def some upside. With his ST ability I think he makes the roster and gets a game day jersey. If he can contribute to defense will depend on either game script (forcing teams to be one dimensional pass only) or greatly improving his run defense. 1 Quote
2003Contenders Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago With two of the recently acquired DL on the shelf for the first several weeks, Solomon should get some opportunities. What he does with those opportunities is up to him. 1 Quote
Senth Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago He sticks for now imo .... great opportunity for him with the suspensions as mentioned previously. Quote
Roundybout Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Good rotational piece like Kingsley Jonathon or Justin Zimmer but ultimately not a game-wrecker. I like the kid. 1 Quote
TBBills Fan Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I'd like to see what type of step forward he takes. He was limited in snaps, but his pressure rate was A+++ 1 Quote
Not at the table Karlos Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I like him as a rotational piece. He shows flashes as a speed rusher. Something they don’t really have besides him. Needs to improve against run but does make an effort. I can see him at 5-6 sacks. He has arm length and good athleticism to be more than a rotational piece even with his height. I’m curious to see how they use Hoecht. I’m not a huge fan of what I’ve seen of him so far as an edge rusher. Quote
oldmanfan Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago He’s in for a fight for playing time. Which is a good thing- nothing wrong with competition. Quote
Charles Romes Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I have less hope than I did for Kingsley Jonathan who flashed v the Bears in ‘22 and preseason ‘23 but was completely invisible whenever he cracked the lineup. Quote
