I hope he is awesome just like everyone else. He plays upright and can get pushed of the line easy - but he is young and can grow and get stronger. Hope is eternal. here's to hope.

Slightly bigger version of TJ Watt, similar RAS measurables.  6-6 with a 40.5 vertical, expect a lot of batted passes.

And before anyone waves away my invocation of those two names: One played 10 years in the NFL, the other played 9. That's a good career.

Jackson's a third round pick, and usually edge rushers that fall to the third round -- great DL draft or not -- don't turn into premium pass rushers. Obviously, it's not a guarantee, and I'll be rooting for him to exceed expectations and ball out for Buffalo. But if he can work into the rotation, add some juice, and set the edge, I'll consider him a worthwhile 3rd round pick.

 

For a past Buffalo Bill comparison I’m thinking maybe more like DE Aaron Schobel.

The guys we've drafted on D are all "pretty good."  We need someone who can take over a game on that side of the ball. Here's hoping.

 

How about all four +++ of Move the needle upwards enough and allow Coaching to make best use of them ?

His tape does not look good to me. His movements look awkward and slow. Reminds me of watching high school tape, a lot of thinking and not doing. Plays very high too and seems to lack explosiveness. Watching him you dont see a "beast" that is dominating the guy across from him, whether physically dominant, faster, smarter etc.

Pro Football reference ranks the Bills DE's as Bruce [GOAT Bills D-Lineman], Schobel, Hughes, Hansen.  Would be happy if he was the next Schobel or Hansen.
