He abused Will Campbell head to head and Cosell showed it in his analysis of him, so the Cheatriots may absolutely regret THAT pick if Landon plays against him :)

He comes with the dreaded high motor tag, but I think he is a lot more than that. REALLY looking forward to seeing what he can do.

A lot of great players have a high motor as well, though.

I didn't even think about that. I'm sure he is already in his head.

Lets hope so. Seems like a great pick. Hope he puts it all together quick. Have him on 1st and 2nd downs and being in Joey Bosa on 3rd downs fresh and hungry to attach the QB!

Bosa will be a good mentor for him as well, hopefully. And once Bosa gets injured later in the season (we all know it is going to happen), Jackson can step in.

If he winds up being Chris Kelsay/Ryan Denney, I'll be happy. That is, an edge setting, run stopping defensive end who can pitch in some pass rush in spurts and add value to the defensive line rotation.

And before anyone waves away my invocation of those two names: One played 10 years in the NFL, the other played 9. That's a good career.

Jackson's a third round pick, and usually edge rushers that fall to the third round -- great DL draft or not -- don't turn into premium pass rushers. Obviously, it's not a guarantee, and I'll be rooting for him to exceed expectations and ball out for Buffalo. But if he can work into the rotation, add some juice, and set the edge, I'll consider him a worthwhile 3rd round pick.

Sure, but we have examples of guys who do succeed, though. Maxx Crosby was a 4th rounder. Trey Hendrickson was a 3rd rounder. Mathew Judon was a 5th rounder. Za’Darius Smith was taken in the 4th round.

This draft had a TON of defensive line talent, so talent fell into the later rounds.

Feel good about this pick. Dude has only scratched the surface. Still growing into his body.

Once he learns how to control his frame, dude will be a beast.  Strong. Long arms. Good speed. Great attitude.  Love him!

when you actually have size, power, pretty good speed and pretty good skill....the high motor is a positive

I think we're setting ourselves up for disappointment if we're expecting this guy to raise eyebrows.

More like Carl Nassib than Maxx Crosby IMO. Crosby has elite lateral agility. Jackson didn’t do the shuttle or 3 cone, but he seems more on the stiff side. He definitely plays upright. If he has a problem in the NFL I think that’ll be why. Very nice size and length though. Seems to work hard. Good use of his hands too. I can see him becoming a solid starter or excellent #3 DE. Good value where we got him in the draft. I can see him being the reason we don’t bring back Epenesa in 2026.

Good call out. His legs are long, which can often translate into great 40's and vertical, but more stiffness in motion. Which you can see in the tape. I do really like the pick though. He's going to be a worker and keep improving his game.

Let's hope. I'm getting a little tired of our guys "almost" getting there.

Yeah. Getting tired of hearing about how great someone's QB pressure rate is. GET THEIR BUTT ON THE TURF!!!

Agree....the Jackson & Walker picks had great value attached, considering both players were expected to be drafted 1 round earlier.  And Sanders looks both versatile and having some pass rush abilities.  We need Hairston,  Sanders, Jackson & Walker to step up.  Not sure what we have in Carter & Soloman?  I'm optimistic.....

He has the traits, and that is more than what previous picks had like Basham, Lawson, and Epenesa. He not only has the size and length, he also has elite explosiveness and good technique.

He has the length and power of Rousseau, but much better athleticism and explosiveness.

Yeah, I would be disappointed if he doesn't work out because he has all the tools and technique to do it.

That was my biggest problem with Jerry Hughes and why I advocated moving on from him years before we actually did. I was sick of hearing how great he was at pressuring and yet never finishing.

we are all emotionally invested in his future success. as has been stated it is essential we be able to sack the QB. I dont much care Who it is.

The missing link. That's what we want that piece to push our team to GLORY

I want to know when they assign numbers.  I don't know how that process really works. if he takes the number of a beloved ex player that makes bigger shoes to fill

We need our Crosby. We need a disruptor.

The guys we've drafted on D are all "pretty good."  We need someone who can take over a game on that side of the ball. Here's hoping.
