Taron going from full to limited and Benford still being limited are a concern for me. All falls on tomorrow.

Concussion protocol always works this way.  If Benford was running around and doing drills the only way he’s not going to clear the protocol is if he has some sort of setback in symptoms tomorrow.

i'd imagine he got a shot on monday which goes a long way - i don't know that he would not be ready. hip injections are kind of funky. the joint and tendons and swelling etc with a pred or cortisone steroid can have some quick relief.

Expand

Actually the hip is one of the last places you want to inject corticosteroids and it has very limited efficacy. There is no quick fix especially if he damaged the labrum. If he did that, his season is over. He got carted off the field, hasn’t practiced since and I doubt he plays. Hopefully he’ll be ready for the Super Bowl if we beat KC.

TJ full on a walkthrough and limited on a practice day could just mean they want to let him heal up but he's still a go

People overreacting over the injuries.  I agree with your take above.

Rapp is the only one.  Milano and Taron are dealing with soreness, Benford will clear.

Maybe Milano/Taron will be less than 100%, everyone is this time of year though.

Chris Jones is still dealing with his calf, he might be practicing, but he's not 100% over that injury yet.

I have faith in Bishop, if he indeed starts.  He has the physical talent and had alot of reps down the stretch...and a great player/coach in Hyde to help him.

This isn't last year, when we were rolling with Aj Klein and a mash group.  Or 2022 when our dline and secondary were hobbled, or 2021 when Tre was out.   We're about as healthy as you can hope for this time of year.

I might want this win more than I've ever wanted any win over any team in any sport.

I'll say the same next week if we win - but this is such a biggie.  KC is that nemesis, that obstacle that we keep banging our heads against.  To beat them Sunday would be such an amazing feeling.

Was poking around expert picks and whoever Tyler Dragon is (cool name) said the chiefs have the better offensive line and better quarterback which made me wonder how much research these alleged experts actually do lol

Like I wouldn’t protest if someone is like ‘mahomes is the best he just had a down year due to offensive line’ I disagree personally but whatever it’s defensible.  But how could qb AND offensive line be better? 😂

Technically, he has until game time to get cleared. But I believe one full practice was a requirement as part of the concussion protocol.

Yeah I'm not certain on the rules admittedly. But Davis was only a limited participant in all 3 practices last week

Cam Lewis should start at Safety if Rapp can't play

If Taron were fully healthy, I’d be up for it, but I’d be surprised if they did it with Lewis being Taron’s primary backup at nickel. I’m cool with rolling with Bishop if Rapp can’t go.

Well....

Some moronic media talking head used the phrase "Allenhead" to describe Arrowhead stadium, and now the Chiefs players are viewing it and will certainly use it as added motivation.

Remember how I talked about athletes doing whatever was necessary to manufacture a chip for their shoulders and convince themselves that no one believes in them? well...

Wasn’t rolling my eyes at your post Loggy. Rolling them at how unbelievably lame this attempt to fire up the Chiefs is. Literally no one (outside of this tweet) has ever referred to it as ‘Allenhead’ before. First of all, that name is wack and makes no sense. Secondly, Allen would have to actually win there in the playoffs to even remotely consider that sort of dig.

I don't think you can rely on Rapp next year as a starter.  Will need to fill both safety spots this offseason.  Going back to his Ram days, just way too injured.  He plays too reckless.

You think that neither Rapp, bishop or Hamlin are a starter at S for us next year? Replace both of them then player not currently on the roster?  I think there’s zero% chance of that happening

We need "Oglethorpe".  Those of you who remember the movie "Slap Shot" with Paul Newman will know what I'm talking about.

Ya Rapp is a starter for sure next year- I would almost say 100 percent.

Bishop I would place a strong bet to be the other starter
