HappyDays Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Wow. Whoever gave Tua that extension should face the consequences. Hopefully Chris Grier can track him down. 5 1 Quote

They were doing roller coaster TD celebrations. Life comes at you fast. They had a shot at setting an NFL record and didn't do it because scoring 77 vs 70 would have hurt the Broncos feelings. In doing so, they denied their players a chance at immortality. Glory. A spot in the record books. This displeased the football gods, and they have been punished ever since. 50 minutes ago, HappyDays said: Wow. Whoever gave Tua that extension should face the consequences. When fans of other teams in your division are cheering for you to lock up your "franchise QB" you know it's a bad deal! although I must say, if Tua needs to know these things the GM openly blasting him in public is probably the best way! 2 1 1 Quote
dma0034 Posted January 7 Posted January 7 I think McDaniels is a good Offensive mind but not a great HC. He isn't a leader and you can see that coming to full light now. Grief is such a bad GM though. His missteps at the QB position alone are baffling. Re-signing an average starter with injury concerns was alarming but not having a capable backup QB on the roster is the reason he should be fired. 1 1 Quote

JMM Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Let's face it, if the players thought they could away with it, they would stuff McDaniels in a locker any chance they got. They laugh at him behind his back, you can bet on it. 1 1 Quote

On the other hand, you really can't be mad at her if she's right. You have to be mad at the leadership and org structure/culture that allowed it to get to this point. 1 Quote
TheFunPolice Posted January 8 Posted January 8 (edited) Every time I see or hear McDaniel I'm amazed that he is an NFL HC. He always sounds confused or like he has no idea what is going on. I wrote a whole long post but it just came across as meaner than I wanted it to, so I'll just say that I feel sorry for McDaniel. He's obviously in over his head running an entire program. Ms. Bush seems to have an opinion on just about everything, and that's just from what I read secondhand here at TBD-TSW. I don't follow social media. Quote

Of course, but she probably hears a lot from the husband when he gets home. 1 Quote

I say it multiple times every year, when it comes to hiring a Head Coach in the NFL Xs and Os are sexy, but leadership wins. 1 1 1 Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted January 9 Posted January 9 I said it in the Daboll discussion, but it is worth repeating. When you have to announce to the press that your GM and HC will be back next season....you need a new HC and GM. 2 Quote

DrDawkinstein Posted January 9 Posted January 9 It's the curse of being in South Florida. The team will ALWAYS attract guys who just want to live a vacation-life. Or get down there and settle into the vacation/beach life. Love it. 1 Quote

I was watching Belichick talking the other day about becoming a HC for the first time and he was talking about being a coordinator being really bad prep for being a Head Coach saying basically "you are doing so much other stuff you get very little time in season to be involved in scheme."
