that plan was always stupid then.

Why double dip on the second most valuable position on cheap rookie deals that directly benefits from an elite QB in the best WR draft in half a decade?

Because we need core STer’s!

Cuz backend WRs like Isiah Hodges are much more valuable?

as a recap the Bills have these remaining picks

Round 6 (204)

Round 6 (219, compensatory selection from Packers)

Round 7 (221, from Panthers through Titans and Chiefs)

I hope we draft a WR to take the edge off of things here.

A 6'1" edge? Really? I don't know anything about him so asking for real

He is undersized, for sure, but he has length because of his freakishly long arms for his frame in addition to an explosive first step and proper pass rush moves. Love his rip and his spin. If he was 6'4 and 265lbs he'd be a first round pick. I don't know if you can put him out there in base defense on early downs but you can carve a niche for him as a pass down specialist.

Chris Jones huh, good thing you have realistic expectations.

I don’t expect every player to be all pro and dominant.

but it’s been what 7 years of this regime ? And we just haven’t hit on draft picks

were good not great.

Okay so with the Bills taking Solomon and the Packers taking Oladapo I'm down to just 15 guys on my board... so here they are:

1. DJ James, CB, Auburn

2. Christian Mahogany, IOL, Boston College

3. Beau Brade, S, Maryland

4. Leonard Taylor, DT, Miami

5. Brenden Rice, WR, USC

6. Beaux Limmer, C, Arkansas

7. Malik Washington, WR, Virginia

8. Nathaniel Watson, LB, Mississippi State

9. Mekhi Wingo, DT, LSU

10. Marcus Harris, DT, Auburn

11.  Javion Cohen, IOL, Miami

12. Caelen Carson, CB, Wake Forest

13. Tyler Davis, DT, Clemson

14. Dallin Holker, TE, Colorado State

15. Cornelius Johnson, WR, Michigan

Surprised Mahogany and Limmer are still there

Lions, 49ers, mia, packers, broncos

49ers, colts, Texans, jets all did it in 3rd.

Bills could have if they wanted to.

How many did it just for 2024 day 3 picks is the essay question.

Sure and that's why I said the Double Down in the DRAFT was a pipe dream.

We definitely need to add another, but it will be a vet. Not a draft pick. And was always going to be the case with our Defensive needs from the draft.

I mean this was considered one of the deepest WR drafts ever, so yes I hoped we would use that opportunity to double dip. I am still very much against the safety and RB picks where we made them but it is what it is.

If it's announced that we're trading for Aiyuk post-6/1 I won't have any complaints though. Adding a player of his caliber AND a 1st round (close enough) WR in the same offseason would be the smartest thing Beane has done since drafting Allen.

The only problem with the Ed pick was he took so long to catch on and wasted much of the rookie contract years and he fell off in the playoffs.

He was pretty good his rookie year and year 3. He had a bad second season - but the Bills played him at 1T a lot that year after Star opted out because the other DTs were a disaster against the run
