I am thinking if a 1st round grade isn't there at 28, he trades back.  I would then take our extra 4th and #60 and move into the top 50.

That will anger many, but give us 2 really talented players.

Makes sense.  He is completely clear that he doesn't need a star receiver at number one and that he just needs to add some quality receiving talent. Given that, the trade back makes a lot of sense, because he can get a quality receiver in the second round and pick up a quality player at another position, as well.

The Bills have signed veteran offensive lineman La'el Collins to a one-year deal with a cap hit of $1,580,000.

We now have more details about those contract terms thanks to Over The Cap. https://overthecap.com/player/lael-collins/4105

This is simply a one year deal for $1.58 mllion, with $1.21 million guaranteed and a $290,000 signing bonus. There are up to $5M in incentives that will only apply to the 2025 salary cap (not the 2024 cap) if Collins achieves specific starts, snap counts & games played milestones.

Awesome thank you. The details are important. That's a nice contract for the Bills.

Me reading between the signs tells me he wants Franklin and I am good with that.

Define quality player?  The further along the draft goes, the more the prospect grades go down.  Right now the WR room is Samuel, Hollins & Shakir.  That's it.  I would be very careful about being too cute, trading down, and then find out the WR(s) you coveted have now been selected before your Day 2 pick.

To a certain degree I think that’s said to not add pressure to whoever we bring in. Especially if we don’t supplement with a veteran.

I still believe they’d love to get an alpha. Whether the opportunity presents itself is impossible for Beane to know with certainty at this point. But I believe he understands the Bills and Josh are better off with a lead receiver than not.

Franklin and Ladd McConkey are probably the smartest bets on who the Bills might take. They've met with both a lot.

The top 4 are probably in consideration but unlikely unless one falls significantly.

Mitchell has all the right tools but the character concerns and the stuff leaking about diabetes management concerns probably make him a no go for the Bills, although if I were Beane I wouldn't let that stop me.

What is the over/under on outright lies Beane told?

They are no lies, this is merely the implementation of a planned strategy that we are seeing move forward…,

I'm honestly starting to really come around on the Green Bay method for our Offense.  Especially with Kincaid set to take on a bigger role moving forward.

Still think we need two above average receivers added to this roster, but I'm not as sold that one of them needs to be a bona fide WR1.

Do you mean the Green Bay method that wasted Rodgers career or the one w Matt Lafluer designing the offense

Exactly what Beane has been saying this offseason.

But I think we need 1 solid #2, to pair with Samuel and Shakir at WR.  Kincaid/Samuel/Rd1/Shakir is a very good group.  Add a WR in RD4, say we draft Worthy or Franklin then look for size/blocking.  That's basically what we need to have a full complementary group.  That also boasts Cook, Knox, and likely some additional RB/WR targets.
