He was one of the better WRs in the country last year and could end up being one of the top WR in the draft when it’s all said and done. Coleman is only slept on in this thread and on this board. He's almost always the 5th Ranked WR by media prognosticators. If you watch the Combine, NFL Network has him as the 4th - above Brian Thomas Jr.

I feel the exact opposite. Zone coverage is where I think he could struggle at first, but we have other zone beaters on the roster. I want a WR that can win in 1v1 coverage because as of right now we don't have that player on the roster (unless Diggs returns to form). Coleman is physically dominant at the catch point and wins on vertical routes. That is a great skill set against 1v1 coverage. He can also eat defenses alive on quick slants if they want to live in man. In the red zone he is an automatic mismatch in man. I still have Troy Franklin as my #1 realistic option for the Bills because I agree quick separation and speed at all levels of the field is the most valuable skill set a WR can have. If he's gone however I don't see another realistically available WR that has that skill set. So of the other available skill sets Coleman's intrigues me the most and I think it would be the best fit with Josh Allen. Also his ceiling is sky high, even higher than Franklin's IMO.

I think the Mike Williams contested-catch type is not the type to bank on, personally. Give me a guy that demands safety rotations. That can turn the corner on jet sweeps and dump offs and WR screens, and can take it 50 yards if the rest of the defense has their back turned to them. A serious RAC weapon is going to transform the offense and turn the rest of the offense into pitch and catch.

So far, Mitchell and Coleman were 2 of them and one increased money and the other lost money.

You might be surprised to know that I almost always agree with this. The first time I saw Coleman's profile was "contested catch specialist" I was out on him. But the more I've seen the more I have liked him. He has more nuance to his route running than the moniker would have you believe. He also moves very well with the ball in his hands. Not going to speed by guys of course but he will bully through him and fight for tough extra yards. Mike Williams is a pure contested catch specialist with really nothing else to write home about. And even he has two 1000 yard seasons on his resume, he has just unfortunately dealt with a ton of injuries.

JMM
Just watched Coleman. No thanks. Not saying he won't be a good WR in this league. But we need outside speed and explosion. Beane and McDermott said that themselves. Mitchell if he drops, Franklin, and McConkey opened my eyes as well.

BillsFanForever19
Gotta say, I'm disappointed in Troy Franklin's time. That's not to say 4.41 is slow. It's just his "elite" speed is what separated him from others for me and made it easier to look past his skinny frame. 3 minutes ago, Warriorspikes51 said: Legette has a huge frame for a WR 1 minute ago, Warriorspikes51 said: more like DK Metcalf just shorter This is why I've been all about him. Dr. Who
1 minute ago, Warriorspikes51 said: Legette has a huge frame for a WR Thomas, Mitchell, Legette -- Bills have to land one of them in the first. I don't want to hear about Chop Robinson. Get Josh WR talent and start seeing other teams scared to play us because they can't stop us. Miami does that with Tua at QB, and some folks here think it's fine to waste Josh Allen on mid-round WRs and modest free agents. It's criminal neglect. Thankfully, this is the draft to make up for it.

HappyDays
Mitchell to me is an example of why the combine is dangerous for evaluation. Suddenly because of his 40 time he is a 1st round talent. But everything I've read and watched on him shows that he is an inconsistent route runner and struggles against press coverage and isn't a particularly high-effort player. Very impressive 40 time but it changes nothing. The tape doesn't lie.
sven233
Of the guys we realistically have a shot at where we're picking, Mitchell is the guy I am targeting. The problem is, his workout is maybe going a little too well. We might have to trade up to the late teens to get him. The last thing I want is for us to sit on our hands if there is a guy at 17, 18, 19 that we really like and watch another WR needy team actually do what it takes to get there ahead of us. The Chiefs have already done that to us in the past, and I wouldn't be surprised to see them be aggressive to get the guy they want to again. We have to be active.
