It only seems that way because we don't watch every play. Every player looks good in highlights.

You’re basing this off what? 1 and a half games? Singletary’s done next to nothing all year before last week.

I may be wrong, but isn't a lot of his lack of production up until now because he has been the #2 behind pierce? Now that pierce is hurt and he is the #1, he's playing well.

And Moss was tearing ***** up until Taylor came back.

Do we really have to do this every time a former player does something a tiny bit good? Yeah Miss is so good that he’s the backup in Indy and Singletary has had 1 good game after averaging like 3 ypc the first 10 games. While we are at it, let’s bring up Hodgins, or should we not because it doesn’t fit the narrative any more since he’s doing nothing this year?

A better case can be made for Moss yes.

The fact that Singletary was behind Pearce kinda tells you something doesn’t it?

Many RBs don't flourish in RBBC. They need touches. Opportunity. They need to be in the flow of the game. Singletary was struggling until Pierce went out. Now he's being productive. It's not a coincidence.

Both good RB’s. Motor had a great run here. But you have one football and JA and Diggs. Cook brings speed neither offered. But the Bills are not a physical OL and it’s pass first here. So good for them! I am really happy for both of them. Josh was quoted as saying Motor was his favorite player because he worked so hard and was a great teammate.

Probably not enough sample size, but Kromer has had more time to implement his blocking schemes and we picked up Torrence so there were some changes made by the Bills to improve the run game. They also have moved away from trying to use so much outside zone (stretch) running plays that was less of a fit for the kind of runners we had and we did not execute those well with our O-line. We now use a lot more power/gap and inside zone runs that we tend to execute better.

Of course there are philosophy changes from coach to coach when it comes to how much, when, and how you run the ball. It always baffled me the amount of draft capital Beane and McD put into finding a good RB and how the running game was usually not a feature that the Daboll offense leaned into. It was mainly just something to keep defenses more honest and to prevent them from pinning their ears back and rushing Allen, or just going light boxes and strictly playing the pass.

Cook was on fire last game after the benching till Dorsey found a way to forget about him. OCs, have to have a feel for what is working and keep going to that well till a defense stops it - then figure out what they gave up to do that.

Moss looks better.  Moss is a one cut back much better suited for Indy's offense.  Singletary is just getting more carries now he's starting in Houston he did well when he was here when we gave him the ball.  Not sure what people are complaining about Cooks is pretty good also.  Problem here for years has been committing to the running game, not the backs carrying the ball.

It's an all of the above situation.  Both Singletary and Moss were playing in an offense where everything was geared towards the passing game, and the O line was usually somewhere between terrible and mediocre.  I have no idea how good the O lines in Indy or Texas are, but since Indy has been leaning on Jonathan Taylor for production, I'll assume that at least Indy's line has been developed to block for the run.

I'm glad for both of them as players and as men.  They're both in a situation where they have a better chance to thrive.

Yup, and  it took Houston  a little too long to realize what they have in Singletarry--their starter, a workhorse, one of the best running backs in the league at protecting the quarterback, a team player, never complaining, and someone who gets better and better the more you feed him the ball

And he is always available.

Now, watch to see if Houston is smart enough to let Motor run and run, providing Houston with a missing element of the offense, just like he did so well with the Bills in the middle of the 2021 season.  The Bills became the best rushing team in the league during that stretch, propelling the entire offense, and Josh Allen, to their best play ever, championship caliber.

If Dorsey was not as incompetent as he is, he would have ridden Motor last year and not let him go this year.
