Away against the Rams should be like an extra home game.

It feels like you are looking ahead.  Don't underestimate the Broncos.

On a related note, we may not get our home game against the Chiefs next year.

Just now, The Firebaugh Kid said:

Much much easier.

Is it? The division is never easy. The 49ers and Jaguars are good teams. The Texans look like they have a stud in CJ Stroud at QB. Plus, that game is on the road. The Seahawks on the road will be tough. Obviously, we have to wait and see how the offseason plays out with the draft and FA but on paper right now that schedule isn't as easy as one might think.

Stroud for as great as he looked lost to Carolina last week and will have the ups and downs of a young qb. The Hawks are tough but that’s not Pat Mahomes or Joe Burrow that’s Geno Smith…Brock Purdy is clearly regressing in and the Jags is an actual home game in Buffalo.

Not even thinking about next year yet, but keep in mind that as ridiculously hard this 2023 schedule is there's no excuse for this team to not be 7-2 at worse right now if they take care of business and beat the teams they should have (i.e. Jets and Patriots) and build a nice cushion before a brutal 2nd half. Nobody expected this team to go 17-0 and losing to other contenders on the road like the Jags/Bengals along the way was expected.

Next year would be the year that we could get the Chiefs at home but we won't because we may not win the division

Cool! Much easier schedule and most games at Sunday 1:00 pm! We’re finished -according to the experts. Stay relatively healthy and chase the #1 seed.

Or, as we say every year after the season, Just Wait Til Next Year!

How do you know most games will be Sunday at 1pm?

I agree with this.  Houston is on the upswing.  Seattle is no pushover, and you're right on the 49er and Jaguars.  I think the Colts probably have a QB they can win with and may be improving soon.  Tennessee and Arizona look like they won't be a threat for a while though.  Ultimately, what the Bills do next year will depend on the Bills.  There still enough talent on the team to win the division and make a serious run in the playoffs.  They heed to figure some things aout and have a little good luck when it comes to injuries, but those are issues for other threads.

And during the drought years, sometime between weeks 10-12 the mantra was "there's always next year."
