Bob Jones Posted September 26, 2023 Share Posted September 26, 2023 Reading some of the posts in here about yesterdays Bills game, where the Bills fans were about 50% of the crowd (just guessing by what folks who were there said) got me wondering WTF is going on with all these NFL home teams not being able to fill their stadiums with their hometown fans? Saw it yesterday in Jacksonville (Chiefs fans), and Las Vegas (Steelers fans), and sort of sounds like there are a lot of Philly fans in Tampa. Are NFL tickets nowadays just like an investment, where the original purchaser knows they’ll be able to make buku $$$ by selling it to a visiting fan? Jax and Tampa in Florida and Las Vegas is a destination city as well. Aussie Joe Posted September 26, 2023 Share Posted September 26, 2023 I didn’t see the Bills game yesterday… but that Steelers game was amazing …judging by the crowd noise it sounded like a home game for them … Bills fans travel well… I have been to several away games in the likes of Houston, Indy, and Nashville and been amazed at the amount of Bills fans travelling to watch those games .. What kind of anti-capitalist commie are you? Season tickets cost a fortune, and go up like 10% every year. The only way regular joe's can afford them is by selling a few games. Why not match an away game with a trip to Nashville? yesterday: Q1 50/50 Bills/Wash. Half 80/20 urinals Q3 90/10 Bills/Wash those poor wash fans—they have no songs, chants, nothing but ear cracking junk sound pumped in. No room for fans. I did not like the vibe there nor Indy. They had carpeting but no fan soul. Btw. Many bills fans around me didn’t seem to understand scream while our D was out. It was weird. Beer girls were singing the shout song too! I have been to multiple Bills road games where Bills gear was over 50% of the crowd. We travel well. Since rules were changed to force teams to show games even without sellouts teams have been selling tickets to ticket brokers and travel agents who sold to out of town fans and it is easiest to sell tickets in opposition team home area. Evidently they pay more than list price and then these tickets are bundled with hotels, buses, plane tickets, tailgates, etc. into packages.
