I’ll give the other 3 credit, but Aiyuk is not elite. He can be taken out with one guy. That being said the other 3 are tough, but if he’s throwing in 2-3 seconds they aren’t getting very deep on their routes. Even Ryan Fitzpatrick looked good for that half a season here until teams figured out they don’t have to play deep

They’re not looking to get deep. They’re all YAC monsters. Everything KS draws up is with the intent to get open quick (which they always do), then hit the open guy and let him go to work. You miss the tackle and they might house it, Deebo especially. Disagree on Aiyuk. He’s a great route runner and does everything well. You can’t compare the weapons Fitz had to what Purdy has either. One was playing with a butter knife for a weapon, the other has machine guns.

Yep. Before week 1. On to the draft.

It’s over, the team that got blown out in the NFCCG last year and has their star pass rusher holding out has won already.

Trade up for Marvin Harrison Jr!

I hate when Miami wins trades, especially when they are this lopsided.

I hate when teams are stupid and made stupid trades like the 49'ers did.

How does Lynch still have a job ?

One of the worst wastes of draft picks ever seen in the NFL.

Because they got lucky with Purdy.  Maybe.

But he’s not. Once they added McCafferey, it was over. They now have 4 elite guys that can do it all, most notably get YAC. Who are these “good defenders” that can stick with a man for 3 seconds? Let alone stick with 4 elite men? Add in that KS schemes them open in 2 seconds and it’s not really possible. Use us as the example. Even if you think Tre can stick with Deebo (which is debateable), who takes Aiyuk? Dane? Elam? Please. Who takes kittle? Milano could stay with him some I guess but it’s tough. And are you asking Taron Johnson to stick with McCafferey? Good luck. And after you spend all that energy trying to match up, they can all run block, and now they gashed you for 40 yards. It’s tough. We’re not built to be anywhere near them. And you say well the chiefs can do it. Well yeah but Mahomes and Reid are a different story. The Bengals too. They have weapons and they play tough. We have 1 true weapon and we are finesse.

If I seem frustrated it’s because I am. Niners got CMC for pennies based on how good he is. Beane should’ve given Josh that type of weapon. Instead we have given him Diggs and that’s it. Maybe Kincaid breaks out but he’s a rookie.

It’s over? Really?

Lol in a manner of speaking as far as defending them goes. Giving CMC to KS is unfair. Like giving a mad scientist another tool to cook up evil formulas. Best weapons in the league plus the best offensive mind outside of Andy Reid. We haven’t even hit on their defense yet which is tops in the league too and added freakin Javon Hargrave too.

Blown out? They didn’t have a QB in that game. Their defense actually held Hurts down quite a bit too. Don’t just read the final score. Context matters. What would be the score if we played the eagles with no qb?

Bosa will sign this week and it’ll be fine. He wouldn’t be playing in the preseason anyways.

Dak is only under contract through 2024 and is injury prone.

Maybe they view Lance as the heir apparent.

If not just cut him. No lose trade for Dallas

No lose? They gave up a 4th for a 3rd string QB. Dak already was being questioned now there are just more headlines after this trade everytime Dak throws a pick. Horrible trade by them.

Correct, blown out. Because that’s what happened. Yes, their QB got hurt. And Mr. Best Offensive Mind with the Best Offensive Weapons couldn’t do ***** lmao. The Eagles apparently didn’t hear it was “over” when they got CMC and proceeded to smack them down.

Is this the same mad scientist that has choked the last 2 times he has gone to the Super Bowl? While he wasn’t the head coach, HE was the one who blew the game for Atlanta and allowed the Patriots to come back because he refused to run the ball. There are videos of him being told to run and his ego got in the way. Then against the Chiefs his ego again got in the way and it cost them the game. Good regular season offensive mind, choker in the playoffs

They didn’t lose their qB. They also lost their backup QB too.

Fair criticism. No doubt he blew the Falcons game. I’ll never forgive him for that either. Giving Brady another undeserved ring. Hard to lay the chiefs game on him. Defense caved against Mahomes and Jimmy missed an open pass to win the game.

I don’t think he can play from I’ve seen as his mechanics and pocket awareness are awful… but hey it’s a 4th rounder not a bad deal.

Bills just didn’t have the cap room as he is guaranteed nearly 7 million dollars as a backup the next two years.

His play kind of reminds me of EJ Manuel.  Ugh...

Not sure if posted already. But apparently we made an offer for Lance. The Cowboys got him for a 4th so, what were we offering?

We could have offered our 4th, and the 49ers decided that the Cowboys 4th would be an earlier pick than ours, but most likely, we offered a 5th or 6th.

At least it is good to know that Beane is looking for a long-term solution to the back up position. I want Josh Allen to get his “Frank Reich”.

and he is going to take a spot on the 53 man roster also.

Haha, maybe, maybe not.

Based on the trade, you are right, he will.  My thought is nobody will claim him if they try to have him clear waivers and go to the practice squad.  I am being silly.  But, his stock has really fallen, very surprised they got a 4th for him with the cap hit to be a #3 QB.

Niners fleeced the cowboys here. A 4th for a 3rd string QB who no one else wanted? And he’s maybe 3rd string at best now on the cowboys. And you gave up a 4th?!

Totally agree

minnesota- Cowboys Herschel walker

the commandos did the RG3 trade up.

RG3 had a good season.  Shanahan ruined him.  But, I get your point and RG3 is in the team photo for worst trades ever.

Likely knows our OL sucks and needs a running qb

QBs are a crap shoot.  The 49ers swung a missed on Lance, but may have a 7th round gem on their hands in Purdy.

The team is still loaded with talent and a Super Bowl contender.  Lynch and Shanahan are still doing good, despite the assets lost in the trade up for Lance.  That in itself speaks volumes.

This. Imagine the shape our team and roster would be in if we had made the same mistake.

Well, we all know how many Super Bowl wins he contributed to....
