I thought the Sabres were going to be like the Devils of last year and have an outstanding regular season with a trip to the playoffs. They currently sit 8th last. So, pretty much same as always. This season clearly wasn’t “all about winning”. They added nothing meaningful to the roster in the offseason and banked on “internal growth” even though pretty much every player on the roster had career years last season. What were the chances of not only repeating that, but bettering it? Eventually Adams is going to have to do something meaningful. His only meaningful trade was Eichel and Reinhart, but both of those he was forced to make. and if these players truly love Granato as much as they say, they better start showing it because their play is going to get him fired. The defensive effort was worse than my men’s league team. He’s a Chris Kelsay.
