Just a month ago they hadn’t even started installing them. 2. The progress on the exterior metal paneling is a concern. It’s a long way from done, and Winter is coming. On a related note there, you can see the top curved piece of the paneling is solid (not perforated). It closes the gap between the last row and the roof. That solid piece keeps the wind out of the interior. 3. I’ll be curious to see if the grass goes down this month. On my tour, the Contractor said they were targeting October. A close family member of mine that works as a safety supervisor of the project sent me a bunch of pictures of the seats going in yesterday. I asked about the grass timeline. He said they are expecting it to go in 2 weeks from now. I guess it is being sourced from an Amish sod farm in New Jersey. 1 1 Quote

With ‘finish’ work starting on the interior spaces there’s work going on seemingly everywhere around the site. Add to that the push to get certain critical tasks completed prior to winter and I’m sure it can seem overwhelming to the Trades….but I’m also sure the General Contractor has a plan and a schedule they’re working with. In your experience, how many new stadium construction projects are at 100% completion contractually even though the facility is ready to be played in? I imagine there are project elements that don’t involve the building itself at all, like landscaping etc. Quote
RiotAct Posted Thursday at 03:55 PM Posted Thursday at 03:55 PM all I know is, the tradespeople better be using JIRA to track all their work! Quote

So, the two weeks is for Abraham and his team of horses to get here with the wagons full of sod? 1 1 Quote

I always say to the Owner and Contractor “the one date I cannot change is today”….there’s always a finite number of days until Opening Day. 1 Quote

Ga boy Posted Thursday at 08:42 PM Posted Thursday at 08:42 PM Have there been any renderings of shadows/shade on the field caused by the canopy? Quote
EmotionallyUnstable Posted Thursday at 10:19 PM Posted Thursday at 10:19 PM Grass should be going in soon. I believe they were aiming for October install. When does the rest of the dome go up? Quote

Just Jack Posted yesterday at 03:03 AM Posted yesterday at 03:03 AM @SoCal Deek, I've wondered would there a plan for how the seats are laid out by color. Pretty sure it's not Jim Bob just grabbing whatever he feels like and installing it. Quote
