I realize there were a couple moments throughout the season that Diggs could’ve handled himself better. That said, like his teammates and coaches have said, Diggs is the ultimate competitor. This article reveals just that. If you’re concerned about Stef read this really good article. Try to read it from the angle of a professional who wants to figure things out so they can win instead of from the angle of someone trying to cause trouble/drama that needs to be traded. Any successful person is going to ask the tough questions so they can get better. I’m not justifying every public emotion he had this past season but I’m so glad we have him. He’s a leader who wants to get better, who wants his team to thrive and who wants to win it all. He could have said “I trust the staff to get it right or where we need to be.” I’m not going to defend him. I’m not going to call this disruptive either or that he’s a problem. Richard Noggin Posted February 11, 2023 Share Posted February 11, 2023 Get just one or two more guys with Diggs's determination (and/or keep em healthy...Hyde and Miller) and I don't think the team deflates quite like that. Although, to be fair, it really did feel like the Cinci game was an unavoidable reckoning. They looked ready to romp the Bills the first time around (I know, I know, it was early in the game), and then absolutely dismantled the Bills in the divisional round. We need more guys who don't ever wilt. More guys who are kinda unwilling to take losing in stride. It’s why he has no answers. People taking this as being disruptive—the plane crashed already—he’s looking at the ashes and trying to figure out why, while the coaches and GM are gonna fly the exact same plane the same way next year and expect a smooth ride. He’s streaky, but he invests fully with this team. He could have easily gone on IR with a torn labrum. Instead he did his damndest to gut it out. Dude has six months of physical rehab and probably surgery coming his way this off-season. I’ll take that level of heart for my backups any day. He wants the ball and the Bills scheme, lack of weapons, and coaching/play calling limits his production. As the ultimate competitor he is going to voice his displeasure. Coach McD was able to squash some Diggs noise. However, that will become more difficult if the Bills can resolve these issues. The time to win was the last few years when Allen's contract didn't hurt the team's ability to spend and get game changing players. Make solid draft picks that upgrade your team especially on the oline. Fast forward to today and the Bills organization has clearly fallen short.
