Patriots may have a QB

It's kind of hilarious how Jones was the 2nd coming of Brady all offseason (to Pats fans), he throws a few picks to start the season, Zappe plays well in relief - and now they're talking about Jones in a possible trade and how Zappe looks just like Brady from 2001.

1 good game vs the BROWNS... lets just pull the breaks on this and see how he does next game.

I cited over 3 games and it's just an observation. It's definitely an interesting observable trend in terms of how he's playing. No pumping the *brakes* needed really.

The Bills just beat the Chiefs, why can't you just be happy? Where did I or the OP say anything about him being the "Franchise Man" as you say? It's literally just an observation. Stop putting words into people's mouths so you can feel empowered. Enjoy the KC win, if you wanna get all bent because some other Bills fans made observations, you're not trying to live stress free today.

I think you just read into more than he was saying and took it harder than he meant bro.

After all the drama, I have to know... where did you end up finding your wallet?

Karma would be great if the Pats get stuck in QB purgatory for a good decade.

Unless they get really lucky again, they will.  BB is too good of a coach to lose enough games to draft a top QB.  His way of winning with a mediocre guy isnt good enough in todays NFL to win anything meaningful.  That team is going to be where the Bills were in the drought probably until Belichick retires and the team tanks and rebuilds.

Im really surprised Belichick didnt retire.  I get that he probably wanted to prove something post Brady era but its not going to happen.  He doesnt have to prove anything.  The guy was and still is one of the best coaches ever.  Coaching alone just isnt good enough in todays NFL.  You need a star QB.  They have a couple decent ones but thats not good enough.

Yep Im waiting for the tweet to show Zappe had better stats in his first "x" amount of games than Brady to somehow try and prove they got the next Brady a third time.

He's a serviceable starter for now.  It's always interesting to see if a young player can stay productive as the game tape starts to accrue.  He does look a bit better than Mac Jones, but can he maintain it.  See: Gardner Minshew

Minshew isn't a great example. He's progressed every year. He just had the unfortunate circumstance to play in the dumpster fire of Jacksonville. He isn't blessed with all world athleticism, but he could very well have a Taylor/McCown/Fitzpatrick sort of career trajectory ahead of him. He's got 41-12 TD/INT an increasing completion percentage and had a monster game for Philly last year.

Browns also have a top 10 defense right now btw...

How is this possible? They are tied for 31st in points allowed with Seattle. The only team that has allowed more points is Detroit.

Unless those points allowed were offensive turnovers resulting in TDs, I just don't see it. BYE weeks account for some of it, but thats only 4 teams.

I’ve been watching Zappe the last couple of weeks and have been very impressed.

(Try not to laugh) but I see a bit of very early Brady in him. Not the goat Brady - the Brady that was more of a game manager in 2001.  Patient, calm in the pocket, smart decisions.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Mac doesn’t hit the starting rotation again. He is 19/27 for 256 yards and 2 TD’s today.

honk honk
