Week 4, 10/02/22, Bills v. Ravens GAME BALLS

The entire team for not making excuses when things were going badly and just playing to get the game over. They rallied instead. That's the sign of a team that believes in itself no matter what is happening in game. That is HUGE for any team.

The coaching staff for making fantastic second half adjustments to stop the Ravens(and really every team all year), and their handling of the end of the game walk off FG scenario which so many teams dont execute well if at all.

As far as for their actually play:

- All Pro Po

- Matt Milano - if he isn't all-pro this year something is wrong...dude is all over the place both in the pass and run game

- Tremaine Edmunds

- Josh Allen

- Khalil Shakir for making a key first down

In this order

  • Poyer - 2 picks, 3 passes defensed and 6 tackles
  • Milano - 13 tackles and 2 for losses
  • Edmunds - 9 tackles and 2 for losses
  • Frazier - Another masterful strategy against an opponent that is really tough to game plan against. I think he officially owns Greg Roman.
  • Allen - After the 1st quarter, where he looked overhyped

Singletary...uh...NO. Outside of the 18yd run where he ran basically untouched, he had 10 carries for 30 yards and a costly fumble (3 points for the Ravens). Of course, the o-line run blocking is atrocious. He did contribute well in the screen game.

Knox...NO. Had one good catch but he stopped on the route in the 1st quarter that resulted in the pick by Humphries. He keeps going and it's in his chest. He basically gave 7 points to Baltimore.

McClappy gets an honorable mention for his end-game clock management.

Knox pass was tipped by Campbell. He was in the right spot, the ball was not.

I’m seeing a lot of Milano. The 1st half might have been the worst half that I’ve seen him play. Missed tackles and overpursuing. It certainly got better. I think that he’s very, very good. I didn’t think that he was today.

Milano is playing at an All Pro level. Lamar is different and unique from any player in NFL. I can think of 3 plays he tackled and contained Lamar to some degree. Not sure any other lb in the league makes those plays.

Playing Lamar is obviously tough. That wasn’t a “gameball-worthy” performance IMO. I think that he may be an all-pro. He’s very valuable. He was rough early.

Ok I’m just having a hard time hammering on him after this game. And his performance in first 4 games.

Edmunds is really good.  I think he is the most under-appreciated player (by fans) that I can remember over >50 years of fandom.  People don’t give him credit for the plays that he prevents the opponent from even trying.  He is a major factor in the middle of the pass defense and many throws are not even attempted there because of his length and speed.  If the Bills can’t resign him, he will be missed more than many think.

Milano was everywhere. He gets my gameball and it's not even close. Tremaine is usually late to the party. Milano is the party.

Wow, just wow. A positive game ball thread and this is what you come up with? It’s like Edmunds pees in your cereal before every game. Or he’s banging…never mind.

Could it be they have a proper 1T to keep them clean?

Is that a reason to take away credit? I mean they played well, no?

He was younger than the typical rookie when he started and was thrown into a leadership position he wasn't ready for.

Some guys take longer to grow into themselves than others and we're seeing Edmunds grow into an all-pro MLB.

Unless he takes a hometown discount, he's going to sign a $75m-$80m contract elsewhere. Steelers or Ravens would love a guy like this.
