Every time they bring me back in..........thud!

I feel like Charlie Brown with Lucy holding the ball.

It’s a good analogy unfortunately.  Seems like the youngsters got their big deals and hit cruise mode.  Great to see such character after Eichel departed.  WTF?  Why can every other team, including two that didn’t even exist when this disaster started, make things happen but we stall every time.  It’s one thing to lose these games and I think LA is a good team but Calgary has blown chunks all year and they didn’t just beat us, they both curb stomped us as if we’re a team already running for the end of season bus.  Thanks for the effort boys.

I’m not going to overreact to 2 bad games, but I’d by lying if I said it doesn’t concern me and give me some flashbacks to all the collapses down the stretch.

I thought it was the same story again last night as it was on Saturday. It looked like they couldn’t handle the intensity of a team pushing for the playoffs.

and way too many breakdowns in the D zone. Yikes. They gotta clean that **** up quick.

Lets hope they can get back in the win column tomorrow. No excuses against Anaheim. That’s a game they have to win!

they have to get back on track quick if they want to stay in the playoff race.

I didn't watch the game last night but it was apparent in the Calgary game that this team still really struggles against more physical teams.  We need to add some muscle to this team.  Post all-star break the games start to transition into more of a playoff mode style.

Exactly. That's why you have to build a team for the playoffs and not the regular season, which the Sabres tend to do.  Speed is great for the regular season and can get a bunch of wins, but this time of year, size matters. All that speed gets neutralized in the post-season with all the manhandling and holding that rarely gets called.

Anderson let in some softies and the comically bad goal last night after a fluky bounce but the whole team went into panic mode after giving up two quick goals.  The second half of the second period looked like 6 Carter Huttons out there all listening to the Brown Note being blasted over the PA.  Two straight games where "total loss of composure" does not even begin to describe the epic pants pooping that occurred.  Before Cozens mercifully got us on the board they had allowed 12 unanswered goals.

I agree but I don't think Adams is done building his team yet.  I like a lot of the skill players we have acquired so far and the fact Adams is having conversations with a Veteran and team leader like Okposo about whether we are getting pushed around too much makes me feel optimistic it won't be completely ignored as he continues to mold this team.  But we will see

Yeah, I did hear Paul Hamilton mention on WGR Adams did ask that question to Okposo. Regardless of the answer, hopefully it's recognized and addressed.

I can think of at least 4 teams that would strongly disagree with this; Colorado, Edmonton, Tampa and the Rangers.

All four of them also happen to be the 4 finalists in last year's playoffs.

Time to get off the skid tonight! Hopefully I can stay up late enough to watch.

Two road games against the teams with the worst Home records in the league!

Lets Go!

With our losing skid, it is pretty important to win tonight.

Another loss and it's not going to look so good.

I just hope the guys have some jump and are not too distracted with the sunshine and weather.

When you play 11 games in 20 days (before the all-star break) you can make an argument for carrying 3 goalies (well maybe). When you play 4 games in 20 days and we're still carrying 3 goalies, not so much. They look rusty, all 3 of them.

Anderson is absolutely brutal.  Comrie is almost as bad.  UPL plays like a stud at times, but then will let in a few softies here and there.  He flashes, but then will be terrible for a stretch.  Maddeningly inconsistent.

When will Devon Levi join the club?
