And the thing that absolute sucks, Doc, is that there doesn't appear to be anyone making any new ones on the comedian assembly line lately, either. Side note, for me also goes back to Trevor Moore from The Whitest Kids U Know dying accidentally back in August of last year. As @DrDawkinstein mentioned, Gilbert, Norm, and Saget were all kind of in the same category of awesomeness when it comes to comedy. I believe they were all pretty close with each other, too. I have so much respect for Gilbert. Among so many other things, I'll always remember the time he tried making 9/11 jokes soon after the attacks at a roast, got mercilessly booed, and pivoted to telling one of the best versions of The Aristocrats joke ever, which absolutely killed. It's always sad when someone who brought a lot of joy into your life passes away. For anyone who believes in an afterlife, the comedy clubs there must have jam-packed lineups every night. Some of the people he had on were Adam West, Barbara Feldon, Larry Storch, Dick Van *****, Carl Reiner, and Sid and Marty Kroft. He was also a big fan of old monster movies.
