Lol... good point. She must be good at Something though. Are you going to go? Nothing remotely close to Florida so I'll just hear about it.

When it turned out we couldn’t go, I offered our tix to a friend who has been generous with concert tickets in the past. He said he HAD tickets, but then sold them when he learned it wouldn’t be Steve Winwood opening.

For some reason, however unfairly, I think my mind went to “I’m not missing anything” mode. I didn’t have any idea who was opening, but that would be some great stuff to see. Wish we could be there. Have a blast!

The concert was incredible. Snarky Puppy is just fabulous. There were 9 or 10 of them, this time. They only played songs from their upcoming album. It took the crowd 2 songs to sort of catch on. By the time they were done (unfortunately about 90 minutes) they got a pretty good reaction. Still, for opening acts, too many people are chatting away and not paying attention.

And while I've seen SD many, many times, this was one of their best performances, IMO. They were very tight. Don was in great spirits and his voice was pretty good actually. The entire band smoked, but as usual, Carlock (the drummer) stole the show.

Nice venue, too. You missed a good one, Augie.

The Tubes at the Belly Up was a fun show.  When they first broke onto the music scene back in the day this band they were the shizzz Super Buzzworthy flamboyant Costumes subject matter all of it was HUGE where I lived at the time. (Phoenix) I recall Buffalo city had the same reaction based upon my local friends retelling . As happens the lead singer has lost a lot of his past vocal chops from age. But I appreciated it nonetheless. Second time I've seen them live.

encore was this song:  Fee Waybill still has attitude and swag ...theyre campy and in their best moments theatrical rock for me.. The 2nd clip is to me their iconic song. .

Show 2 tonight in bethel woods on my Dead and Company summer tour roadie.  Did the deer creek show Tuesday for show 1.  Show 3 is tomorrow in foxboro, then a week off before show 4 back home in Philly.

How are they sounding to your ears these days?

I feel like Bobby’s guitar tone has gotten better, less tinny sounding and abrasive than in recent years.

Ive been wondering if there’s more than meets the eye with Billy’s increasingly frequent absences. I know he said “pulled muscle”, but…a little worrisome.

Glad they’ve pulled out Sing Me Back Home for this tour. I just listened to every show from ‘72 recently, and this song was often the gem of the show in which it appeared. Underrated tune.

Enjoy the remaining shows!

I did not have tickets, but I just saw that tonight's Dead and Co., show at Saratoga Performing Arts Center was abruptly canceled.  John Mayer's father passed away today.

@Logic

@The Poojer -  They said no other dates would be affected.

Saw that.

A total bummer for those planning on going tonight, but obviously more than understandable given the circumstances.

Hopefully there's a makeup date in the future.

Almost went up for the show.  I just hope John was able to see his father in Hartford yesterday.

His father didn't pass away, but did have a medical emergency

Just spent 4-5 days camped in the middle of this hilarity, logging a bunch of time in the first row in front of some of the world's best musicians.

Great party; incredible picking in the bluegrass capital of the world.

That looks awesome, Simon. Love a good bluegrass fest out in the open.  It looks like Rhiannon Giddens was there. She's fantastic, IMO

I wasn't familiar with her and an old mando picker I know had told me to make sure I didn't miss her set.

When she walked on with just a bass player and one guy with a handheld drum I was in the middle of the field sitting in a chair and actually had my back turned to the stage, watching a great sunset and sharing a hog leg with some friends. Within minutes of her opening her mouth I had left the chair and maneuvered to around 5th row center and then spent the next 45 minutes wondering if she would give me my soul back when she was done with it.

Almost brought tears to my eyes with one of the most genuine displays of individual power I've ever witnessed.

Dead and Company in Philly was amazing.  NEVER miss a Sunday show.  It was the last of my 4 city run with the band, at least it was the last planned show.  Finding it difficult to not go to Citi field this weekend for the tours closing shows. This band has really come together over the past 6 or so years.

Thank God for Bob Weir. He is keeping the Grateful Dead music alive. With Jerry long gone he is the most famous surviving member left. He is now the face of Grateful Dead music thru Dead and Company.

I have been wanting to check out the Nick Mason show for a while, now.  Looks like they're in NYC in December.  I was planning on heading down there near the holidays, as I always go in the summer and wanted to shake it up a little.  This works perfectly, as the Mason show is on a Saturday night.

Crap ... EDIT ... the date is listed 12/10/22.  I just realized it's Oct. 10th.

A friend has tix to see Sheryl Crow at the Chastain Park Amphitheater tomorrow night. He was hoping to sell his tix, but looks like it’s only about 25% sold out in the first place. Oops! Sounds like a toss up between intimate and awkward.

LOL.  I just noticed that flub.  It doesn't, unfortunately.  Really need it to be on a weekend.  I would have even gone to the Montreal show if it was on a weekend.  Bummer.

Tickets can't be that expensive to begin with.

I've never seen a good Sheryl Crow concert.

He only had $80 into it, but I’m not sure if that was one or two seats.

Wow.  This seriously shocks me.  I always thought she'd be great in concert.

I saw her with the same guy at the Botanical Gardens in Piedmont Park a few years ago. It’s not exactly my dream show, but they sold wine by the bottle(s) and we both had a good time. :)  🍷

This guy is a serial concert attendee. He buys tix for almost every show when they are announced, then if he can’t make it or isn’t in the mood come concert time, he sells them or gives them away. He gave my son and DIL about $650 worth of Kenny Chesney tix recently. He sent me video from a Clapton show where he had to be filming right over my shoulder but neither us knew the other was there!

I've seen her twice, back when she hit it big (1995?) as the headliner, and last year as an opening act for Chris Stapleton.  Both times it was just "ehh".  Even my wife, who had never seen her in concert, agreed.
