All three just placed on the Covid list.

Time for an all expense paid vacation in Foxboro! Private jet, no expense spared sightseeing tour. Maybe take some of the lower paid team/stadium staff out to a dinner they will never forget! Nothing but the best for these guys! I mean, those guys who clean the locker room can’t afford a night out like we could show them!

So....I guess we don't have to worry about whether they'll start Bobby Hart

According to my understanding, these guys must have had symptoms, because the NFL is no longer testing vaccinated players at all unless they have symptoms

How do we know all of them were vaccinated?

I suppose we don't, but I have no reason to believe Beane would lie about the Bills being 91% vaccinated, which would be 6 players.

So we're kind of running out of unvaccinated players.   Hart in particular has switched back and forth and played for different teams in a short period, while unvaccinated players must undergo a 5 day onboarding process.

So with the new rules or whatever, as long as they are vaccinated and are asymptomatic they can play Sunday? Do I have that right?

If they were vaccinated and asymptomatic, as I understand it they wouldn't go on the covid-19 list because we wouldn't be testing them.

So either they self-reported symptoms, or they aren't vaccinated, and we're running out of unvaccinated players to meet Beane's 91% vaxxed (plus, guys at the bottom of the roster like Hart and Love pretty much all got vaxxed)

If they're vaccinated, they can return as soon as they meet the new criteria, which are too convoluted for me to parse.

Interesting that the NFL's answer to the lastest surge in positive cases is to test less. Not sure what that helps.

Vaccinations don't prevent the disease, just the severity, and Omicron is more prevalent than Alpha or Delta. Not sure when the NFL is introducing the non-testing protocol for players who have been vaccinated; there are apparently 50+ players who tested positive today - are they all non-vaccinated, all showing symptoms or is the protocol not in place yet?

They don't totally prevent it, of course. But vaccines absolutely reduce the likelihood that you will catch it. They provide some protection against infection as well as against more serious cases.

Nobody reputable has said that Omicron totally bypasses vaccines. Nobody. Effectiveness definitely will drop. There's zero evidence effectiveness will disappear.

As I understand it, the new protocols go into effect after the Sunday the 19th games.

Its all part of the NFL conspiracy to get the Pats and Bucs in the SB.

And to make sure the Bills do not make the playoffs.

Said at the beginning of the year Covid would cost us a shot.  And we’re not the only team.

It could well prove to be the opposite; we are not a Super Bowl team this year or anything close to one.

COVID could spin the whole thing around on its head.

Everywhere I can find it says, "won't be tested regularly" or "won't get tested weekly." Haven't yet seen, "won't be tested."

So like..... for instance, game is in 2 or 3 days, a vaccinated player ends up getting it , but is asymptomatic and feeling fine... and doesn't have to be tested....could he play in that upcoming game?

It is funny how the bills are being effected by teams from Florida if you look after the bye it was Miami then Jacksonville and last week tampa bay.  I am starting to believe some teams are getting away with having players with Covid being allowed to play I mean Tom Brady plays for Tampa and the league might say for you Tom your players can play with Covid.

Agree. That's way even games at home against Atlanta and the Jets are far from stone cold locks. Someone is gonna be nipped at the end because of being short manned. May be happening to Cleveland tonight.

Yup, we really need to win that NE game before this viral crap hits the fan!!
