Saturday Night Football: Colts vs Pats thread

The Colts played about as good as they can on Defense, that was their ceiling.  Run game was popping and Wentz looked like he pretty much always has.

NE made a lot of mistakes, which I don't expect a repeat unless the Bills can bring the same level of intensity as Indy did.  Tough game coming.

The Pats looked helmed by a rookie. He looked confused, perplexed, and lost. We can beat the Pats. We can blow out the pats.

The Colts are the real threat. Taylor is amazing. But Wentz is just a guy. We can beat the Colts too if we score points and not turn the ball over.

Both team are really good.  Jones finished well after a bad start.

Not really they both were playing the ball

He had a right to play the ball.  He didn't have a right to make contact with the receiver prior to the ball getting there.  People need to understand the rules better..."playing the ball" or "looking for the ball" doesn't give you free reign to just do whatever you want.

why, that doesn't make any sense if you're a Bills fan

It just 💯 depends what matters more to you as a bills fan, not to mention how much confidence you have in them beating the patriots next week.  Making the playoff or winning the division.

i had read somewhere (no clue if it’s correct) that if we go 3-1, we’d have an 87% chance of making the playoffs.  If that really is the case, then I’m glad the colts won.  We still actually have a chance to win the division and still have a great chance to make the playoffs even if the pats (or someone else) beat us.

He lead with his helmet! Not a shoulder a helmet. It also wasn’t a crappy thrown ball it was in his belly..

He wasn't even tryin to lay a hit. He was going for the int. So how in the hell did he lead with his head?? You've got you're homer glasses on.

What a joke.  The NFL is fixing it so the Pats and the Bucs are in the SB. I am so outraged.  I need to donate money to someone to show them what team has the best fanbase.

Say what?  The Pats lost? Well…then never mind.  I will save the above for next Sunday night.

Haha fair point but if they beat us again that theory is back on 😂 I will say the pats don’t seem to get any help like the bucs do

Of course they are ripping us on ESPN right now and basically giving no positives.

They are really hanging onto that colts loss we had huh lol the colts have steamrolled a bunch of teams.  Outside of that we lost every single close game that could’ve gone either way and got hosed against the bucs

From a play offs point of view, having the Colts with one less win would have made me feel more secure about our chances. Maybe 'happier' was the wrong word to use though!

Yea assuming we beat the pats a colts win last night was great but that’s a big assumption

I kept reading about the “the mileage on his tires”. The fumbling was curable(Tiki Barber)

Yeah, lots of mileage too, plus fumbles.  Some said he was too north south and didn’t have enough east west and would only be effective in certain systems.  This are probably the reasons he wasn’t the 1st taken.

now, let’s be honest though……if he wasn’t in Indy, he wouldn’t be doing this.  He’s a great back, I agree, but that OL is making him a super star

Could be a one game thing for them but they looked just about the furthest thing from the dominant team the talking heads have been trying to sell us on.  Also they left the door to the division wide open since we have the division tiebreaker and we play them again. That loss was objectively huge for them

Who cares what the media makes them out to be...you still have to go in there and beat them. And the Bills don't do what the Colts do.

Not saying the Bills can't win.

I don’t know Era. Imagine him in KC, GB, Chargers, Seattle. Somewhere with a good QB. He’s doing this in Indy where no one is scared of their QB. This is the equivalent of Tennessee except Tannehill can show up occasionally.

Seriously. Only thing funnier is watching how many suddenly aren’t a fan after a loss. They might be the most entitled and fickle fan base in all sports.

If the Bills play the Colts again I hope it’s either in Indy or a day with no precipitation in Buffalo. Wentz isn’t better than Rivers and I think the Bills can beat Indy.

The Colts beat the Bills soundly the last time and weather wasn’t a factor .  What’s changed in Bills or Colts lineup that makes one believe that the Bills best Indy in a re match ?

It was a good no call.  He wasn't leading w/ his helmet - he was going for the ball.

You wouldn't have made it as a Bills fan the past 20 years.
