It sure looks like Michelle Obama is being pressured to run for president, forcing Biden out of the 2024 race

American Thinker, by Thomas Lifson

It’s obvious to anyone in the Democrat camp not totally delusional that Joe Biden’s declining mental faculties make him almost impossible to re-elect in 2024. Douglas Schoen and Andrew Stein are two Democrats that have a good grasp of reality, and so they are putting out a signal in the Wall Street Journal – which is read by virtually every media editor in the country – that it is time to push Michelle Obama into running.

(snip)

Unless Michelle claims absolute lack of interest, then she is OK with it. Biden would withdraw before South Carolina if she challenged him, since he would be humbled there.

2024 Panic Growing on the Left

by Steven Hayward

Elizabeth wrote yesterday about taking seriously the presidential candidacy of Cornel West, and while no one thinks West will actually gain many votes, the memory of Ralph Nader’s 95,000 votes in Florida in the 2000 election still haunts the memories of Democrats.

Clearly the left is worried about West, too. MSNBC is out with an attack on West claiming that he is . . . a conservative!

{snip}

Meanwhile, the left is also freaked out about Robert F. Kennedy Jr’s renegade candidacy. With his famous name and family legacy of helping to take down incumbent Democrat presidents (LBJ and Carter), and already polling around 20 percent among Democrats, you can sense the disturbance in The Force of the leftist Evil Empire. So what do leftists want to say about RFK Jr? That he’s . . . a conservative!

While most of the attention on the 2024 election cycle is centered on the GOP and its Trump drama, I still say the Democrats are likely to provide us with the biggest surprises and bombshells before we get to election day next year. And I haven’t even gotten to the Joe Manchin story line yet. Stay tuned. . .

He's a conservative...just like RFK Jr.  Likely another "black face of white supremacy" type.  Morons.

Biden won't be capable of campaigning or finishing his term.  He's too far gone.  I predict another very serious fall, broken hip, dies in his sleep, stroke, or mental decline to continue to the point that even the soleless DNC animals and his evil wife propping up the mindless fool, will cave.  And, if they put him on trial, he'll be deemed incompetent.  What a mess.

Team Sleepy Joe Seems to Have a Case of Kennedy Panic.

“The Democrats were obviously hoping that the drooling shell they have running as an incumbent president wouldn’t be challenged at all.

They can’t have Biden in any sort of contest with other people, as he is in a constant struggle with himself.

They just want to get Sir Sniffsalot back to the basement and record the occasional video where First Lady DOCTOR Cruella de Biden can do all of the talking.”

Fact-Checking Slow Joe

by John Hinderaker

Is this another sign that the Democrats are preparing to move on from Joe Biden in 2024? I don’t know, but CNN’s newfound willingness to fact-check Biden seems significant.

Here, CNN finds that pretty much everything Biden says about firearms, among other things, is wrong: He made at least five false claims related to guns, a subject on which he has repeatedly been inaccurate during his presidency. He also made a false claim about the extent of his support from environmental groups. And he used incorrect figures about the population of Africa, his own travel history and how much renewable energy Texas uses.

THE ROOF IS COLLAPSING ON BIDEN

Pretty much everyone now understands that for years, Joe Biden has been taking bribes from foreign countries and interests.

Whatever influence he had in the Senate and as vice president has been peddled around the globe, often by his son Hunter.

Biden’s repeated claims that he knew nothing about his son’s business dealings is absurd, given that the only business Hunter was involved in was selling Joe’s influence. The most recent blow is the WhatsApp message that Scott wrote about here.

In keeping with the Democrats’ determination to force Biden off the 2024 ticket, the embargo on news about his corruption is lifting. Today the White House press corps went after poor Karine Jean-Pierre. They were so rude as to want to know about the veracity of the message by Hunter Biden in which he tried to extort cash from a Chinese businessman, telling him that “I am sitting here with my father” as the extortion is being carried out:

It doesn’t look like they are trying to convince anyone anymore. They are just trying to hang on until Biden announces, early next year, that he won’t run for a second term, at which point attention will turn to his would-be successor, Gavin Newsom.

California = POS state. Nancy's little nephew is just as much as POS as she is. The rest of the country doesn't want to be like CA. People and businesses are leaving there in large numbers.

Calling it a reprise of the Carter years is honestly too charitable. Carter was not stunningly corrupt.

UPDATE: From the comments: “Carter didn’t give a speech soon after his (honest) election in front of a national monument back-lit blood red with two Marines flanking either side describing his political opponents as traitors.”

Why do people keep on saying this?
People are leaving California. Businesses are leaving California but they’re being replaced by other people and businesses coming in.

California has its issues but it’s basically its own country. No other state compares to California has its issues but it’s basically its own country. No other state compares to it they literally could live on their own. with no help from anybody else the people in California pay for the taxes for people in other states.

No.

According to the latest population estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau, California’s total population declined by more than 500,000 between April 2020 and July 2022.

Put another way, 1 out of 100 people living in California at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic had, two years later, left the state — either by U-Haul or by hearse.

Where’d they all go?

Some died, though there were far more births;

Some left the country, though on net, more immigrants arrived;

The major driving factor: Californians departing for other states.

I wonder how long you’ve lived in California. If you can’t see the rapid decline, you are truly blind!

They say it cuz they got nothing else.  I've seen homeless in SF and a homeless tent camp in Sacramento.  There are problems.  And people in Mississippi and Kentucky live in tar paper shacks with empty refrigerators.  These are systemic, national problems.  Poverty and homelessness are not unique to
Cali.  But none of that is what this is about on a prez or fed level.  I honestly know little about Newsome.  Is he a good governor ?  pragmatic?  charismatic?

There was one thing that I didn’t like about Newsom and that was he was holding parties during Covid whenever we had Covid restrictions I didn’t like the hypocrisy of that

He has charisma and he knows how to talk. He would actually talk rings around Donald Trump. How good of a president he would be? I don’t know.

You live there so you would know.  And not surprising from what I've been reading/seeing.  Heck the talk of reparations alone would be enough to get me to move.

Doc

My comments have almost nothing to do with the politics of the place. To be honest I don’t run into it much. My comments are about the state of the physical environment. I have watched it fall into a state of disrepair for decades now. They’re spending a boatload of tax dollars on something, but it isn’t on routine maintenance. To quote Irv…it’s a mess!

I’m legitimately worried Gavin Newsom could win.  Not sure why anyone would write him off.  40% of the country that votes will vote “blue no matter who”.

And then the country will get even worse and everyone will be like “I don’t get it, what ha-happened”…

Republicans can’t seem to get out of their own way and are, currently, determined to elect the only man who can lose to Biden.

Then, if they do come to their senses and it’s trending towards a DeSantis nomination, Dems will find a way to tap Newsom.

They are not running Biden against DeSantis.  I’d be shocked.

I think DeSantis wins in that showdown, as I can’t see Newsom winning Georgia, North Carolina, Arizona or Nevada … and DeSantis would put Virginia in play… along with Newsom not exactly being a great fit for white union Dems in PA, MI and WI.

The big battle would be for women in swing states.

Newsom’s smooth talking and abortion policy geared toward single women vs DeSantis pro-parent agenda, along with Casey on the campaign trail.

A rare moment of agreement.

DeSantis, however, is like the GM with a single-minded focus on beating the Chiefs, only to wind up with a roster that matches up really poorly with the Eagles in the Super Bowl. I know the common wisdom is you run to the extreme in the primaries and then tack back hard to the middle in the general, but there's extreme and then there's too extreme ... Trump has warped the Republican Party to such an extent that it will only come back to its roots after he's vanquished once and for all.

He’s young-ish in comparison to the last two bozos, he’s telegenic, and he will be able to spread misinformation, aka lie, as much as he wants without being called on it by an overwhelming majority of the media. Get ready for the Newsome Administration.

The blue, no matter what vote is much higher than 40%

The Republicans are going to try to run a criminal for president. They’ve already lost the swing vote before they even get to the general election

This country made the mistake of electing Donald Trump once they won’t make it a second time

If the R’s nominate Trump, yes .. the vote blue no matter who crowd is higher than 40%.

If they nominate DeSantis, his policies are what won Virginia for Youngkin.

I don’t buy the personality issue stuff.  If Trump wasn’t in the race, we wouldn’t be talking about that.  RDS would be the clear cut front runner with all the momentum.    Nobody can compete with Trump on personality.   Love him or hate him, he’s magnetic.

If Trump is out and RDS is the nominee, the Dems will pull the plug on Biden and run Newsom.

It will then be very left vs very right and personality vs policy.
