Court will reconvene at 10:45 a.m. Jury deliberations began Tuesday night for about 90 minutes before the jury went home for the evening. WAUKESHA, Wis. — Nearly a year after a tragic attack on a community tradition, a jury convicted Darrell Brooks Jr. of killing six people and injuring dozens more after driving through the Waukesha Christmas parade. Brooks was found guilty of 6 first-degree intentional counts, 61 first-degree recklessly endangering safety counts, 6 hit and run involving death counts, 2 counts of bail jumping and 1 count of battery. According to The Associated Press, the suspect specifically targeted Pelosi's San Francisco home. Nancy Pelosi was in Washington at the time of the attack, authorities said. Paul Pelosi was taken to a hospital, “where he is receiving excellent medical care and is expected to make a full recovery,” Hammill said. According to the AP, citing sources familiar, the 82-year-old was attacked and severely beaten with a hammer. Paul Pelosi suffered blunt force trauma to his head and body, and was being treated by doctors for bruising, severe swelling and other injuries. Hope he had good health insurance. Often in these types of cases they don't or are under insured meaning the cost of their care ends up being paid by the rest of us.
