im not sure what his promise was about border security, but I’m sure it wasn’t this. What a mess.

DHS has been told to refer questions to the White House on the border crisis (but don't call it a crisis) situation.  So the "cone of silence" has been invoked.

Greg Abbott Launches ‘Operation Lone Star’ To Combat ‘Crisis’ Caused By ‘Biden Administration Policies’

Go Joe. Took a bad inherited border situation and quickly made it way worse by promising hand outs and amnesty during a pandemic to a bordering country with 50% unemployment. Excellent job Joe. Combine that with increasing the minimum wage and this seems like a perfect situation.  Just perfect.

couldn't this have just read all the people getting checks support the bill to give them checks? But honestly I’d be fine with just that.  Why is no one asking; if every man woman transgender and child got a $1400 check it’s under Half a billion. What’s the other 1.5 trillion for?

Why can't the government give us all $50,000 a month?  We should vote on that.  I'll bet it passes and democracy will prevail.  That way nobody has to work and we can all live an affluent and comfortable life and end poverty and income inequality all together.  Please don't ask about trivial details like where are all the goods and services we need coming from if nobody has to work.

No one? That's been the top story in the news for a week - complaints about the pork in the bill.

Your hyperbole, as usual, does zero to further an otherwise honest discussion.

I must be watching the wrong thing. I’d love to know which companies are getting helicopter dropped money so I can try to recoup some of the losses that will result from this government redistribution.

I can think of one!!

Five letters.

Plural.

Starts with a "c."

The bills here:

https://www.budget.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/American Rescue Plan Act SENATE.pdf

Costs going to keeping the Employee Retention Credit going, a new Restaurant Recovery Grant program that allows restaurants to recoup COVID losses, more money to targeted EIDL, expansion of the PPP program to more non-for-profits, making around $10k of unemployment non-taxable, continuing FFCRA credits to help businesses pay for sick and family leave.

Really not hard to read it and see.

Thanks for posting.

im not sure what $35 million to Howard university or grants to socially disadvantaged farmers has to do with Covid, but I should actually read this instead of letting other tell what’s on there, which is an excellent point. I’ve scanned my way to page 57... under 600 pages to tackle! 😆

Like CAA of 2021 was over 5000 pages so at least you’re lucky this one is shorter!

Howard University is in DC so it needs appropriations that states normally grant universities through acts of Congress instead of a state legislature. Similar provisions were in the bipartisan CARES Act. Plus they used to use the Bills logo.

COVID has impacted the food supply and farmers can always use money.

https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2021/03/18/nolte-joe-biden-breaks-promise-to-not-raise-taxes-on-anybody-making-less-than-400k/

As a candidate, His Fraudulency Joe Biden pledged not to raise taxes on “anybody” making $400,000 or less. On Wednesday, the White House basically announced Biden had lied. Akshually, the number is more like $200,000.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki on Wednesday clarified that President Biden’s proposed tax hike would apply to people who earn $200,000 per year if they are married to someone who makes the same amount.

Psaki said at her daily press briefing that the proposed $400,000 threshold for tax increases applies to “families” rather than individuals.

That's like how the $2000 stim payments were actually $1400 because (insert doubletalk)

Been there Done that. Taxes are going to go up for every household deemed unworthy of the stimulus check and pretty much every household earning over 100k. They’ll put in breaks for their ultra wealthy friends and family, and basically squeeze the white collar and small business owners dry while doling out cash hand over fist to the bottom half. Crooks.

Don't forget while they are ripping off the white collar and small business owners

they are keeping them distracted and on the defensive by making the bottom half

earn their keep by calling them racists, xenophobes, and homophobes.

It's all a neat little dirty trick.

And GQP distract their idiots by crying over Dr. Suess, athletes kneeling and biching over the border, gun rights and abortion because they only cater to the .1%.

When you say crisis...what do you mean? Are these kids fleeing chaos a salient threat to the stability of the Republic? Do they become mass shooters? Do the assemble and attack the capital in an act of sedition to prevent the constitional transfer of power? Are the threatening the American way of life? Are they showing up on your street corner and threatening your neighborhood and ready to steal your wife and daughters? Have they mounted a non stop misinformation campaign?

Please enlighten us on what the crisis exactly is?

There's no problem at the border.  We routinely dispatch FEMA for no reason...

FACT CHECK: Biden Says His Family Weren’t Involved In Govt During The Obama Admin. That’s Not True.

At age 26, Biden’s niece Casey Owens worked at the Treasury Department as a Special Assistant to the Senior Coordinator for China in the Obama administration.

She wielded considerable influence over the direction of U.S.-China relations between 2009 and 2011, as she described her team as “advising” former Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner and responsible for “coordinat[ing] the priorities within the agenda for the Dialogue” and “spearhead[ing] the negotiations of proposals.”

Similarly, another niece of Biden, Missy Owens, worked at the Department of Energy as a Deputy Chief of Staff from 2009 to 2011. There, she “oversaw and coordinated strategic interaction with the White House, Cabinet agencies, Members of Congress, business leaders and interest groups and acted as a primary point of contact for Agency leadership.”

And in early 2011, Owens was promptly promoted to Chief of Staff to the Deputy Secretary of Commerce.

Maybe he meant that he wouldn't use his position as PRESIDENT for nepotism,  but as VP it didn't count?
