Doesn't even have to be a family member. As far as I know, players are still allowed to hire personal trainers and therapists for treatment outside the facility (massage, etc); they're allowed to hire people to come into their house such as personal chefs, personal shoppers; they're allowed go to into the community to get haircuts and dine in restaurants and socialize according to NFL restrictions and local regulations.
