Hoping this is a 2020 thing and not carved in stone going forward..

Totally a 2020 thing.  With the reduced practice time leading up to the regular season, I think teams likely lobbied the league to restrict reporting because they have to do game planning at the same time they are practicing and evaluating their rosters.  It's basically what teams do during the regular season, but slightly more restricted (i.e., can't say whether someone is playing with the 1s or 2s, etc.).

I've thought since the draft that the 7th rounder Jackson has a real chance to stick.

It's definitely a position where we are lacking a little depth.

It's nice that this scheme is CB friendly.  Seems like we can find useful guys anywhere.

I think any CB McD drafts has a real chance to stick.

Gaines opting out sure helped his cause as well.

Not sure if you guys were listening to Sal’s piece on the morning show, but a couple of cool points from yesterday.  He said Diggs burned Norman on one play and his footwork was awesome.  He also said Davis and Hodgins looked faster than he expected given their size.  He stated Davis as many expected looked very crisp in his routes.  I heard a couple of good things from Dane Jackson.

I really liked the initial news.  Sal does a nice job in his 7 am spot with the morning guys going through practices or at least what he is allowed to see.  Not to beat the dead horse from the other thread, but he spoke to the zoom call on Horrible Harry and how moving he was on that call.  How much he absolutely loves football and killed him to not be practicing with the team.  He shared how Harry admitted at one point he called one of the trainers despondent wondering if he will ever play ball again.  That was in January.  FWIW, Sal said he won over the press last year as he made himself so available to the media, volunteered for various causes, and thought he looked good yesterday.

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m rooting for him to make a comeback.  A guy who just loves football, not for just a paycheck, but loves the game.  Sal stated that is exactly the kind of player McBeane wants on this team.

I was rooting for Foster last year, but someone on here mentioned McCoy had a positive impact on him in 2018, and when He left, Foster reverted.  I’ve given up on him, McKenzie, and Duke for anything, but the PS.  I say that because the positives so far in Davis and Hodgins and they are cheap labor is great for the 53.  I don’t know how much the first three are enticing to other teams if on the PS.  There is an argument to keep them there as they know our system.
