What did the best offensive line prospects in the draft have to say about AJ...well you can read here and see what this is a GREAT pick:

That's what we saw. But what we heard during interviews with the offensive players who faced him was a very different story. ...

this is fantastic! thank you.

Why do we need a 4th WR to sit on the bench for next 2 years?

Some teams utilize more than 3 WRs these days. It wouldn’t have been unreasonable or a wasted pick.  May as well say he’s our 4th DE. It’s a position where guys get lots of reps.

Amazing pick. He dominated big ten lineman his entire time at Iowa. Don't understand how people dislike this pick.

Yeah it makes no sense.  Dude was a beast and huge value where we got him and probably the biggest need on the roster with our starting edge guys 32 and 34 respectively.

Im not saying not to take a WR there, but people are upset about AJ as if we NEEDED a WR there.  DE was a bigger need and AJ was the BPA on the board IMO.

Really surprises to not see more people really happy with this pick.

If you are a bpa person he was clearly in the top 5 bpa according to pretty much every ranking.

If you are a need guy, de was certainly a need as the current depth is very long in the tooth.  He fills a role in the mcd defense and appears to be a culture fit.

There are 6 more picks to go.  Plenty of time to find that rb to split the load with singletary.

What will be his immediate impact on a D that only allowed 16 points?

So weird that people are upset with this pick.

Buffalo only had one glaring need after we acquired Diggs:

DE

I don't watch much college ball, but I know this kid was being mocked to us in the 1st. Sounds like he's ultra talented but just didn't play a ton in college.

If we don't draft another player, I'm excited about this team.

Those clamoring for us to draft an RB like Dobbins in round 2 are missing the value of RBs and the gems you can get from smaller schools later: see Devon Singletary.

And who knows? Maybe McDermott and Beane are happier with the RB room than we are. Maybe they saw Wade really progress in his learning of the NFL game last year?

I'm almost expecting OL in round 3.
